Exploring Seongseong Lake Park in Cheonan
Recently, I visited Seongseong Lake Park in Cheonan while searching for places to go.
I used to think of it merely as a walking area around the lake, but I was surprised to find that it is much better organized than I had imagined, featuring playgrounds, walking paths, and beautiful night views.
Visiting in the evening was particularly pleasant, as the cool air made for a nice walk, and I could see why many locals frequent this spot.

2. Playground

The hammocks were a highlight; I tried lying in one and found it surprisingly comfortable. The gentle breeze and pleasant atmosphere made me want to stay for a while.
3. Walking Course
The walking course at Seongseong Lake Park exceeded my expectations.
I had thought it would just be a simple walking path, but the well-maintained decking and the enjoyment of walking by the lake added to the experience.
Roses blooming along the walking trail made the walk even more beautiful, and I thought it would be a lovely spot for a date.
The most memorable part was a bridge where flower images were projected onto the ground, creating a magical feeling of walking on a flower path.
4. Night View
While Seongseong Lake Park is lovely during the day, I personally found the night views to be more memorable.
As the sun set and the lights turned on, the atmosphere transformed completely.
The bridge illuminated in rainbow colors reflecting on the water was particularly stunning.
It looked beautiful in photos, but seeing the lights reflected in the lake was even more atmospheric.
5. Running Course
Seongseong Lake Park is also a great place for running.
There’s a loop that many people use for exercise, and I saw individuals running solo as well as groups jogging together.
The paths are well-maintained and easy to run on, and I appreciated that there was less worry about bikes coming up from behind.

Having visited Seongseong Lake Park myself, I can confidently recommend it as a must-visit place in Cheonan.
It offers a chance to enjoy nature without any burdens, with options for walking, playgrounds, and running courses, making it suitable for everyone.
I was impressed by how families, dog walkers, and fitness enthusiasts were all enjoying the park in their own ways.
In the past, I thought parks were just for walking, but Seongseong Lake Park allows for resting, playing, taking photos, and exercising.
