The perfect season for travel is here!
Among the many great destinations for a September trip in South Chungcheong Province's Dangjin, Hanjin Port's coastal deck path stands out as a place where you can heal while enjoying the cool breeze and blue sea. It's a great course for a walk, allowing you to fully appreciate the beautiful autumn sky and the fantastic scenery of the blue sea and clouds that are perfect for the season.
Taking photos with the impressive sculpture tower you'll encounter while walking along the deck path is also a great idea. Above all, the feeling of walking while looking down at the deep blue sea was wonderful.
There are benches where you can rest in the middle, making it easy to take your time and look around. You can fall in love with the charm of Dangjin's sea and fully enjoy the happiness of your trip.

Address: 95-14, Hanjin-ri, Songak-eup, Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do
Admission: Free
Parking: Available
The picturesque scenery unfolding before your eyes is truly moving. Even the salty sea smell feels familiar. These days, the sky in Korea is especially beautiful, making you spontaneously say that it's great just to look at the sky.
Parking Information
The parking lot is larger than expected. There are plenty of parking spaces, and the parking lot is located right in front of the sea, making it very convenient to get to the coastal deck path. It's an easy place to visit for those traveling with parents or going on outings with children.
Hanjin Port
This is the view you'll see when you get out of the car. Take a moment to immerse yourself in the romance of the port while admiring the beautiful scenery of the West Sea. It was also nice to see fishing boats sailing on the sea.
There are shops on both sides of the parking lot in the middle. The building across the street has restrooms, restaurants, cafes, and a supermarket, making it convenient to use. Be sure to visit the restroom before heading to the coastal deck path, as there are no restrooms on the path itself.
Coastal Deck Path
Looking at the port, you'll see a marine police station on the left. If you go behind that building, you'll find the path to the coastal deck path. Just walk straight along the path.
Along the coast, there are cafes and restaurants. Some people were enjoying their leisure time sitting at outdoor parasols, while others were enjoying their meals indoors under the cool air conditioning. It was my first time visiting this place, and I was surprised that the surrounding commercial area was so well-developed.
After passing through the alley lined with shops, you'll finally see the path. I personally love this course because it feels like walking on the sea. It was great to escape the noisy city sounds for a while and focus only on the sounds of nature while walking slowly.
Someone has built a tower with conch shells. The sight of small plants growing together on it looked beautiful to me.
There were many places to take a break along the way. The space was separated so as not to interfere with traffic, making it a good place to rest. It's also a good idea to take a break and read the information signs.
The fact that you can see the bottom of the sea because the tide is low is also one of the sights you can see here! The sight of trees growing on a rocky mountain was also impressive. I was once again amazed by the strong vitality of nature.
I walk slowly, a little apart from my companions. I walk quietly alone, wanting to fully feel the time here. The charm of leisure is very appealing. Today, I'm experiencing the sounds of nature without earphones.
There was also an observatory along the way. I was curious to see what the view would be like from the second-floor observatory, so I went up. Be careful as the stairs may be slippery.
It's very windy on the second-floor observatory. It was also a good place to cool off from the heat while enjoying the cool sea breeze. Looking at the open sea made me feel refreshed.
After resting for a while, I walk again. As I walked up a little further, there was a photo zone. Many people were taking pictures here. The clouds were so beautiful that I kept taking pictures of the scenery.
I can see a uniquely shaped tower in the distance. I thought I should go all the way there, so I hurried a little.
When I arrived, I saw that the floor was open. There is a bridge so you can take pictures with the magnificent tower, and the structure allows you to take pictures from both sides.
I didn't know it when I saw it from the side, but it's a tilted tower. Whether it's a shape symbolizing a sail, it felt different from seeing it from a distance, which was also interesting.
I'm recording the magnificent view. Some people were scared because the middle was open with the tower in between. I wasn't scared, so there's no need to be afraid in advance.
I couldn't go any further due to time constraints and headed back the way I came. The building of the observatory also looks different from the opposite side.
September is a great month!!
Hanjin Port and the coastal deck path in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province, are great for taking a leisurely stroll and capturing the beautiful scenery. It's a place where you can feel the sounds, smells, and atmosphere of the sea, making it a comfortable place to visit. Except for the observatory, there are no stairs, making it suitable as a barrier-free course. Autumn is short and all the more precious!!!
