Discovering the Serenity of Durebong Park in Jincheon
Recently, I took a drive to Jincheon, Chungbuk, and discovered a truly peaceful and beautiful space: Durebong Park located in Deoksan-eup. With the pleasant weather lately, it's the perfect spot for a light walk and some healing.
I enjoy walking and often visit parks across the country. From the moment I entered Durebong Park, I was greeted by vibrant greenery that made me take a deep breath. Notably, the entrance features stunning views of blooming hibiscus flowers.
As I ventured deeper into the park, I found a dedicated hibiscus garden. Unlike the usual scattered hibiscus along the roadside, seeing them gathered together was refreshing and truly beautiful.
The blend of pink and white hues made for fantastic photos. To fully appreciate this vibrant hibiscus garden, visiting during the blooming season is essential. Walking slowly along the flower paths brings a natural sense of healing.
I captured numerous great shots among the colorful hibiscus flowers. If you love flower viewing, I highly recommend visiting during the blooming period.
Nearby the hibiscus garden, there are well-maintained walking paths. The paths are neatly organized, making it very comfortable to walk. Parents with strollers or wagons can navigate easily without any inconvenience.
The park's hidden gem is the hillside that continues behind it. On hot summer days, outdoor activities can be daunting due to the sun. However, the walking trail on the hillside is shaded by dense trees that provide a cool breeze, making it very refreshing.
Every step I took among the trees felt incredibly refreshing, allowing me to truly experience the phytoncides. The forest's scent cleared my mind.
Throughout the park, there are various exercise equipment available for light workouts, which local residents and seniors enjoy during their strolls.
Additionally, there are plenty of benches for resting, which I appreciated. Sitting on a shaded bench, listening to the sound of the wind, was a source of great happiness.
Another highlight of Durebong Park is the expansive lawn. The vast green grass was so refreshing to behold.
Watching children focused on insect collecting in the grass brought a smile to my face. It's a wonderful opportunity for them to have memorable ecological experiences.
Whether spending time with family over a packed lunch or having intimate conversations with loved ones, this location is perfect for such moments.
As the scenery changes with the seasons, I’m eager to return in the fall or spring. If you need a break from your busy routine, I recommend taking a light walk in this beautiful place, where lush trees and lovely hibiscus await.
