As the weekend approaches, many seek to relieve the fatigue accumulated from daily life. Instead of heading far for a hot spring trip, a wellness course that can be easily accessed from the metropolitan area is gaining attention. Located at the foot of Myunghaksan Mountain in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, this complex spa destination is becoming popular for its excellent water quality and reasonable prices.
Especially favored by couples looking for a weekend date or those wishing to take their parents, the natural hot spring water sourced from deep underground and various herbal functional facilities offer high satisfaction. It is an ideal choice for those seeking a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of urban water parks.
The main competitive edge of this location lies in its natural alkaline spring water, which is derived from 985 meters underground rock formations, rich in germanium. Upon entering the spacious and well-maintained lobby, visitors are greeted with detailed scientific water quality analysis, instilling a sense of trust.
Inside the large hot spring area, three carefully categorized hot spring baths and two cold baths operate systematically, allowing guests to enjoy their preferred bathing experience. Unique healing spaces differentiate it from traditional bathing facilities, including a hydrotherapy bath that gently stimulates the body with strong water pressure, along with charcoal saunas, wet jade saunas, and jade resting rooms.
Unlike the large hot spring area that is open on weekdays and weekends, some core healing spots are exclusively available on weekends and holidays. The representative space, the yellow clay sauna, maintains a comfortable low-temperature environment of around 40°C, effectively promoting the elimination of waste and sweat from the body, making it very popular.
The outdoor hot spring, where guests can enjoy a soak while breathing in the fresh mountain air, also operates exclusively on weekends, providing a unique atmosphere. Particularly during the hot summer season, the outdoor swimming pool opens, making it a fantastic weekend picnic spot for families with children.
Despite its spacious and comfortable spa infrastructure, the pricing is very reasonable. Admission fees are 11,000 won for adults and 8,000 won for children. By adding a 1,000 won rental fee for sauna clothing, guests can access all facilities during the weekend, and the dedicated large parking lot is completely free.
Upon entry, two towels are provided, and the one-key system allows for intuitive and convenient access to lockers and shoe cabinets. Visiting around 3 PM on weekends typically results in fewer crowds, allowing for a more relaxed experience. Note that the hair dryers in the powder room require 100 won coins, so it's advisable to bring some cash.
The area surrounding the spa features major tourist attractions in northern Gyeonggi Province, making it an ideal spot for weekend outings. After enjoying the fresh breeze at Imjingak Peace Nuri Park, visitors can easily combine trips to Paju Samneung, Byeokchoji Arboretum, and Heyri Art Village for a half-day itinerary.
Comfortable walking shoes are essential for leisurely strolls through outdoor facilities and nearby arboretums. We recommend planning a fulfilling day to cleanse your eyes in nature and rejuvenate with the natural hot spring water.
