Cherry Blossom Experience at Yongwonjeong

Hello!
This morning, I visited the cherry blossoms in Byeonggok, but they have not fully bloomed yet, so I decided to head back.
I then made my way to Yongwonjeong in Gohak to see the cherry blossoms there.
Despite the early hour, many people from Daejeon and other areas were already there taking photos.
Notably, there were several photography teams with models, and over 30 members from a photography club in Daejeon had come to visit.
The vibrant atmosphere of photography in the early morning was quite impressive.
Origin of Yongwonjeong's Rice Bridge
It is one of the old stone bridges, resembling a geomungo with two large stones connected over a central stone pillar. In 1758, the Oseongjae brothers donated 1,000 sacks of rice, hence the name 'Rice Bridge.'
Until a few years ago, this was a place known only to locals, but it has now become a popular destination thanks to word of mouth.
I felt proud knowing that more and more people are enjoying the beauty of this place.
Whether it was those carefully taking photos with models or families capturing precious moments together, it was heartwarming to see everyone enjoying their time.
Watching people smile brightly in front of the camera and pose naturally conveyed a joyful atmosphere that lifted my spirits.
Among the various models, one dressed in a vibrant hanbok stood out, blending beautifully with the cherry blossoms and posing perfectly for the camera.
In 2026, Gochang County will celebrate the Year of Gochang Visits, hosting a travel snap challenge at various cherry blossom spots, including Yongwonjeong.
Enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms, take photos, and participate in the challenge for a truly special memory.
The location was bustling with people that day, and we had to wait a bit to take photos.
This showed just how much the cherry blossom scenery is loved by many.
I also enjoyed the visit with my companions, and it was especially meaningful to take photos with members of the photography club from Daejeon.
That day, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and it seems like there is still time to enjoy them.
I highly recommend visiting Yongwonjeong's Rice Bridge to experience the beautiful spring scenery.
