Autumn Foliage at Nongdari Bridge in Jincheon

Today, I'd like to introduce Nongdari Bridge in Jincheon, a great place to enjoy the autumn foliage. Nongdari Bridge is a representative tourist destination in Jincheon and is highly recommended for autumn outings. On the day I visited, the foliage was beautifully colored, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. The weather is getting colder these days, making it perfect for a walk during the day. There's also a beautiful trail alongside the colorful autumn leaves.
There is no admission fee for Jincheon Nongdari Bridge, but there is a parking fee of 4,000 won for regular passenger cars, with a generous 1-hour grace period. Jincheon residents can park for free on weekdays and receive a 50% discount on weekends. Discounts are also available for people with disabilities, veterans, and residents of nearby villages.
I parked in Parking Lot 2, which is closest to Nongdari Bridge. However, if you plan to visit the Nongdari Story Museum, I recommend parking in Parking Lot 1 and walking over.
Right next to the parking lot, there is a Nongdari photo zone with an artificial waterfall where you can take pictures. Last year, a Christmas tree was installed, which looked beautiful, but it hasn't been set up this year yet.
The metasequoia trees are just starting to turn color, with their peak usually around the end of November. Metasequoia foliage is the last to turn color after the ginkgo and maple leaves have fallen, making it great for enjoying late autumn.
I could see Nongdari Bridge and the buoys in the distance, which were set up for a circular tour. Nongdari Bridge is the oldest stone bridge in Korea and is designed to drain water well, preventing it from collapsing.
As I crossed Nongdari Bridge, I began to see the beautiful autumn foliage. The colors were so vibrant that I couldn't help but stare for a while.
When I visited, it was the peak of the foliage season, but walking along the path with falling leaves is also a great experience.
The view of Nongdari Bridge from above looked like a dragon ascending to the sky. According to legend, a dragon built this bridge to ascend to heaven, and seeing it amidst the fiery red foliage gave me a sense of mystery, as if a real dragon had passed by.
If you walk up the trail, you will come across a blue dragon sculpture symbolizing Chopyeong Lake. It was made from recycled materials such as steel frames, wisteria vines, and rice straw, which I found quite fascinating.
Another famous attraction of Nongdari Bridge is the Mir 309 Suspension Bridge. It is open until 4:30 PM in the fall and winter, so you should visit early. There is a trail that allows you to walk around Chopyeong Lake via the suspension bridge and the sky bridge.
I could see the white sky bridge in the distance, and the autumn foliage made it a great place for a walk.
If you are looking for a quiet and scenic autumn destination with not much time left this fall, I recommend Jincheon Nongdari Bridge. Instead of glamorous and popular tourist spots, you can take a walk through Nongdari Bridge, which has a thousand years of history, and among the autumn leaves fluttering in the wind. When you visit Nongdari Bridge, take a break from your phone and fully experience autumn with your eyes, ears, and heart.
