“Mirinae” means the Milky Way in Korean.
It is said that the name originated from the lanterns lit by Catholics who gathered here to escape persecution, resembling the Milky Way.
The holy site features the tomb of Father Kim Dae-geon, the first Catholic priest in Korea, along with the memorial church for 103 Korean martyrs and the Stations of the Cross.
The path to the church is lined with trees, making it a peaceful place to stroll.
