That long, long holiday is finally over!
Our family powered through a whirlwind of a schedule right up until the holiday.
We headed down to Busan at the start of National Foundation Day and spent 3 days and 2 nights there.
We revisited Dadaepo Beach, where my child had so much fun last time!
We checked the tide times on a tide chart and visited an hour before low tide.
You can have fun for about 1-2 hours before and after low tide.
My little one loves catching crabs, and he was hard at it again!
But then we found this huge claw.
Are there crabs this big...?
I hope someone didn't just eat a crab and toss the claw...?
We couldn't tell since it was just the claw.
The body was missing ㅠㅠ
This was one of the bigger crabs I caught.
Before we knew it, the collection container was full!
The two of them looked like a copy-paste from last summer ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
(feat. Daiso raincoat, a real lifesaver)
On the way back, the view of Yeongdo harbor was so beautiful, I had to take a picture.
The weather was so much better on the way back than when we were at the beach...^^ (Seriously!)
After all that hard crab-catching, we enjoyed crab stew to relieve our fatigue.
We couldn't make it during the last holiday, which was a shame. This place is a true crab restaurant, with great ingredients.
I've tried the marinated crab, but I like the steamed crab and crab stew the best here.
That spicy, savory, and sweet crab flavor!
I also like that the artificial flavoring isn't too overpowering.
It's so famous that it's packed during the Busan International Film Festival.
Luckily, when we went, it wasn't crowded, so we enjoyed it at our leisure!
Since we were in Haeundae, we stopped by Shinsegae Centum City Department Store for dessert.
Shinsegae Department Store is a paradise for foodies.
Full of praises for it.
We also tried the walnut cookies in collaboration with actor Lee Jang-woo.
The milk cream with Uyu Salt was very smooth and delicious.
While we were looking around the Shinsegae Factory Store, a small outlet in Centum City,
my little one played to his heart's content in the indoor plaza!
Back in Seoul, we cleaned the house
and visited IKEA to create a home for our houseplants.
I saw this combination at the store and loved it so much that I bought it.
Solved the problem of finding a plant stand that I had been agonizing over!
Put it into practice right away...
Like this ^^
Our little indoor forest has become lush.
Now that you have a pretty home, grow well!
During the Chuseok holiday,
I got some kitchen items from a pop-up store in Lotte World Mall.
Two cute WECK mini bottles,
Yamachiku chopsticks (large size, perfect for frying and pan-frying),
Bogen butter knife,
Jam spoon,
Silicone cutting board
The next day, we had bread for breakfast at Hong Jong-Heun Bakery's Misa Hangang branch!
A place with high ceilings and an attractive open view.
We ate salt bread, chocolate bread for my little one, and financiers.
The walnut cream cheese was also delicious,
and overall, the bread was good.
I felt like the salt bread used to be more delicious...?
We visited the Misa Gyeongjeong Park.
and took a phytoncide walk.
Got my little one some shoes at Adidas in Dasan Outlet.
Easy for him to put on himself, and he really liked them!
I got Nike shoes...^^
So pretty and at such a great price!
We liked Misa so much that
we visited again the next day with chairs and snacks.
We played badminton and blew bubbles.
He's getting good at badminton now,
so we can have quite a rally...?
We grilled some Korean beef tenderloin that we received as a gift.
My husband acknowledged my grilling skills.
I made a mistake by not taking a picture of its grilled glory... ㅠㅠ
And, regretting the disappearing weekend,
we went to Gapyeong on a whim.
And devoured some Dakgalbi.
This place was cozy and nice.
Dessert is a must.
A nearby cafe with a pretty view.
The Pine Nut Latte was delicious.
It was also a good place for my little one to take a walk.
The Pine Nut Latte was tailored to my taste as a pine nut lover.
My husband's matcha-based latte was...meh.
It was okay, but I wish the matcha flavor was more bitter...!
We really burned the candle at both ends.
This holiday...^^
Round trip Seoul-Busan and jam-packed schedule here and there.
Both my child and I ended up with body aches,
so we took some medicine and caught up on some sleep that we had been missing.
The life of a mom is...
So fulfilling...?!
Can't be lazy, haha.
