As the Chuseok holiday approaches,
the community of Jido has come together.
Chuseok is just around the corner.
These days, as we think more about our family and neighbors,
Jido has also continued its warm acts of sharing.
On the 18th,
the Jido Women's Association and the Welfare Mobile Team visited a single-parent household
to carry out home improvement volunteer activities.
This volunteer activity targeted a family where a father lives with his three children,
who are currently in middle and high school.
It was organized to provide practical help to families
who find it difficult to manage their home environment due to their livelihood and child-rearing responsibilities.
The members of the Women's Association and the Welfare Mobile Team started by thoroughly cleaning
and organizing both inside and outside the house.
They replaced old wallpaper and flooring,
and even renovated the bathroom to create a more comfortable
and safe living environment.
With many hands working together,
the house began to change little by little.
Looking at the clean and organized space,
the family felt more at ease as they prepared for Chuseok.
Not only did they improve the living environment,
but they also conveyed warm encouragement and support to the family.
The father of the household expressed his gratitude,
saying, "It has been difficult to keep up with household chores while taking care of my three children,
but I am truly thankful for the help with cleaning and repairs."
Hong Kyung-ja, the president of the Jido Women's Association,
shared her thoughts on the volunteer activity,
stating, "It is meaningful to provide a clean and comfortable home for our neighbors in need before Chuseok."
She emphasized the commitment to continue caring for the community through ongoing volunteer efforts.
Song Hyun-jung, the head of Jido,
also expressed gratitude to the volunteers,
saying, "We will continue to carefully observe and foster a warm community where we help each other."
Through this volunteer activity,
one family now has a clean and safe home,
filled with the warmth of their neighbors.
The Jido Women's Association and the Welfare Mobile Team will continue
to support the community and alleviate inconveniences through various volunteer activities.
As Chuseok approaches,
we hope that warmth and happiness fill every home.
