Today, I want to share our delightful visit to Gaehwa Art Park and the Badugi Zoo, a great destination for a weekend outing with kids.

We had a wonderful time playing in nature and interacting with adorable animals, making it a fulfilling day trip.

Let me share my vivid experience along with some photos!

Gaehwa Art Park

Location: 673-47 Seongju-san-ro, Seongju-myeon, Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do

Operating Hours: Daily from 09:00 to 18:00

Admission Fee: Adults 6,000 KRW, Children and Students 4,000 KRW

Separate admission for Badugi Zoo inside the park: 9,000 KRW per person / Closed every Tuesday

Upon entering Gaehwa Art Park, the colorful and cute train immediately caught the children's attention!

The train rattles around the park, and my child was so excited that we started off with big smiles.

I highly recommend taking a ride; the thrill of racing through the wind is unforgettable.

Next to the train, there’s a peaceful pond where you can enjoy pedal boat rides.

Sailing on the calm water while admiring the lush scenery was incredibly relaxing.

Badugi Zoo, located within Gaehwa Art Park, is truly a paradise for children.

Unlike typical zoos, it’s a 'hands-on zoo' where the enclosures are low, allowing kids to feed and interact closely with the animals.

Although there is a separate admission fee for the zoo, it is well-maintained, making it a safe and enjoyable experience for families.

One of the most popular animals at the zoo was the donkey!

My child carefully fed it from a basket, and watching the donkey munch on the food was a highlight for them.

It was a valuable experience to see and touch animals that we usually only read about in books.

While many associate Boryeong with Daecheon Beach, just a short distance from the city lies this beautiful and lush art complex.

With expansive nature, blooming flowers in every season, and activities that children love, it’s a perfect spot for everyone.

There are various activities for kids, from a soft sand playground to ring toss and a cute basketball game.

It’s a true paradise for children, where they can see animals and play freely.

Upon entry, each visitor receives a basket of animal food, including carrots and cabbages, allowing for a feeding experience with alpacas, rabbits, turtles, donkeys, ostriches, and hamsters!

In Gaehwa Art Park & Badugi Zoo, you can heal in nature, create memories in beautiful photo zones filled with flowers, and enjoy various playful interactions with cute animals.

The park is not just about nature; it also features beautifully decorated photo zones that are perfect for capturing memorable moments with your child.

This weekend, why not create precious memories with your child?
