A Magical Autumn Night at Susungdae

Hello! As the refreshing autumn breeze gently blows, I was excited to hear about a special and serene night festival taking place at Susungdae in Geochang. This event is called 'Healing Journey Under the Moonlight - Moonlit Walk at Susungdae,' celebrating the '2026 Geochang Visit Year.'
On my way to the event, I was captivated by the beautiful red spider lilies (also known as 'Sangsahwa') in full bloom at Susungdae.
When I arrived at Susungdae, the first thing that caught my eye was the dancing lights above the red spider lilies and the pine trees.
As I took photos of the enchanting flowers at night, I noticed the lights twinkling above the pines by the water.
At the 'Healing Journey Under the Moonlight - Moonlit Walk at Susungdae,' make sure to look for the red spider lilies, located along the path to Gwanseoru, in front of the Geochang International Theater Festival office.
While filming the dancing lights on the pines, I later realized that a film was being screened at the silent outdoor cinema behind the Gyeongseong Confucian School.
Seated calmly in the tiered outdoor viewing area under the dark night sky, many attendees were immersed in the film, wearing headsets. Thankfully, our group's chatter was likely unheard.
Unlike typical outdoor theaters, the absence of noise around us made the experience unique and charming, as we enjoyed the film with clear sound through personal headsets.
The serene atmosphere of the night was delightful, and capturing the beautiful lights dancing among the dense pines in my camera frame was truly enjoyable. With the cool and clear autumn night air, each step brought a sense of tranquility.
After visiting the silent cinema's information booth, I began preparing for the moonlit walk, holding a softly glowing electric lamp and wearing a headset to hear the narration and music.
Following the kind and calm guidance of the cultural tourism interpreter, I slowly walked around the Susungdae night path. Though I had often visited Susungdae during the day, walking under the darkness with the lamp felt like entering a completely new and mysterious space!
Focusing on the gentle music and the deep stories shared by the interpreter, I experienced a perfect healing time as the fatigue and stress of daily life melted away.
This moonlit walk was well-organized with an engaging route, ensuring there was never a dull moment.
After completing the walk, we returned to the silent cinema to share our feelings and wrap up the event.
