A Refreshing Getaway: Camping and Water Fun at Wonju Duri Camping Ground

The weather has been so unpredictable lately! One minute it's raining with a cool breeze, and the next the sun is blazing. Planning a vacation has been quite an adventure.
Since this summer is expected to be scorching, even the beach might feel like a sauna. So, I decided to take my kids to Wonju Duri Camping Ground, a place where we could camp by a refreshing stream.
The stream right in front of the campsite boasts crystal-clear, first-class water. It was the perfect spot for my kids to splash around and have a blast. Watching them play so joyfully in the water brought a smile to my face too.
The campsite is divided into Camping Area 1, Camping Area 2, and bungalows. The check-in and check-out times are well-organized, allowing us to start enjoying our time as soon as we arrived. Check-in is at 1 PM and check-out is at 12 PM for Camping Areas 1 and 2. The bungalows have check-in at 11 AM and check-out at 2 PM.
The management office is conveniently located at the entrance, making it easy to find. We were able to reserve a campfire and barbecue through the website, so we enjoyed grilling with the family in the evening, fully embracing the romance of camping.
The surrounding area offers a variety of attractions, including Chiaksan Mountain, Gamaksan Mountain, Sogeumgang Suspension Bridge, Wonju Herb Farm, Ganhyun Rail Bike, Oak Valley Ski Resort, Park Kyung-ri Literary Park, Donghwa Village Arboretum, Go Panhwa Museum, and Guryongsa Temple. It was great to combine camping with exploring these nearby destinations.
Spending time in the fresh air and beautiful natural surroundings, playing, laughing, and chatting with my kids, was truly precious and special.
Wonju Duri Camping Ground is perfect for families who want to enjoy healing in nature and private fun simultaneously. We were so satisfied with our experience that we've already planned our next visit!
