Kim Saimdang's Active Life: A Daily Hike on Guryong Mountain

Hello!
This is Kim Saimdang, living an active life.
If I decide to do something, I do it.
Especially exercise.
I eat so much though...
It's a shame I can't lose weight.
But I definitely exercise for my health.
It's still hot, but I love hiking!
I came to Guryong Mountain.
This is my tenth day in a row.
I start at the stairs in front of Queen's Dom 108 in Sannam-dong.
I was a little late because I was dragging my feet at the thought of exercising, haha.
Starting at 10:18 AM!!
There's a place to wash your feet at the entrance.
Some older folks leave their shoes here and go up.
There are more and more people hiking barefoot.
The initial climb feels the hardest.
After that, it's manageable since you're walking along the ridge.
I always go up the right-hand side first.
Because I want to experience the summit quickly, haha.
I run on even paths like this.
That's how I feel like I'm getting a workout.
There are benches here and there.
I don't take any breaks.
I'm a busy person.
I don't want to spend more than an hour exercising, haha.
This is a tough section too.
You can think of it as the final struggle towards the summit, haha.

A beauty, I am. LOL.
I even charmed a squirrel that usually darts away quickly.
I wonder if it's sick...
A squirrel spacing out for 5 seconds, haha.
I see a roe deer about once a year.
I see squirrels about three times a day.
If I'm lucky, I see a chipmunk too ^^
There are exercise machines right below the summit.
Be careful of that yellow iron bar. It has a smell that's perfect for getting metal poisoning, haha.

It takes about 10 minutes to get to the summit.
There are paths down to Seonghwa-dong and Gaesin-dong!
My usual certification shot.
This is so much fun.
I don't like taking selfies these days because I'm getting old...
But I can't resist a workout shot, haha.
I took a picture, washed my hands, and rinsed my mouth.
Last time, there was a sign saying "Do Not Drink," but it's gone now.
I guess we can drink it now.
I happily head down from the summit towards the Korea Water Resources Corporation.

After walking for a while, you'll see the end ^^
There are exercise machines here too.
I don't use them.
There's also a pavilion to rest in and a mirror, haha.
It's funny to see a mirror on a mountain.
It makes me wonder if someone planted it there for me, haha.
There are steep paths, so be careful.
I'm hiking in running shoes, so it's slippery ㅠㅠ
Now I'm going back down the way I came up.
The downhill is the hardest part for me...

But there's only going up left in my life now...
I happily skip down.
Arrived at 11:01 AM ^^
One lap of Guryong Mountain takes 42 minutes.
When I measured from home on another day, it took 53 minutes.

It's a course I can climb in 40 minutes when my body feels light.
It's still hard to exercise with this heavy body.
But this body doesn't seem to want to change...
On the way home,
I entrust my heart to the sunlight,
Thinking of your work,
I am saddened by countless thoughts.
(From the lyrics of 'Going Home')
I'm not sad~ I'm happy! LOL
Try exercising like this every day.
You won't lose any weight~
Because I eat a lot...
Sigh...
The never-ending story of dieting...
But it's a diet I have to do.
