A Sunrise Journey to Sobaeksan Haneuljarak Observatory

Chon Noma's mornings always begin early.
Today, I ventured to a unique spot: the Sobaeksan Haneuljarak Observatory located at the upper dam of the Yecheon Pumped Storage Power Plant. Departure time: 4:30 AM...
The goal was to witness the sunrise and the magnificent view of Sobaeksan Mountain unfolding beneath us.

After a determined drive, I arrived to find the iron gate at the entrance firmly locked. I was about to give up and turn back...
Then, I spotted a trail alongside a sign indicating the Sobaeksan Haneuljarak Park. I decided to go straight ahead without hesitation.
After traveling about 7-800 meters, I found a large parking lot and another sign directing me to Sobaeksan Haneuljarak Park.
Sobaeksan Haneuljarak Park: 500 meters away...
I diligently walked along the dew-kissed path.
The air was clear, and the morning felt refreshingly invigorating.

Sobaeksan Haneul Observatory:
23.5m high, 16m wide...
Designed with the motif of the Milky Way, conceptualized as starlight flowing down to Sobaeksan Mountain...
A 360-degree panoramic view is available while ascending the 136m spiral staircase.
Moreover, from the spacious viewing deck at the top, you can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of Sobaeksan Mountain unfolding like a panorama.
A walking trail that goes around Eorim Lake...

Here at Eorim Lake, the upper dam of the Yecheon Pumped Storage Power Plant, the eastern sky is dawning.
The sky dyed red and the beautiful scenery of Sobaeksan Mountain unfolding like a panorama amidst the misty clouds felt like looking at a landscape painting...
If a paradise existed, I imagine it would be a place like this.
The sun slowly began to rise above the white clouds covering Sobaeksan Mountain...
With the rising sun, Chon Noma's heart felt refreshed and liberated.

Mountains and clouds...
The "Sobaeksan Haneuljarak Observatory" offered a stunning view of the sun rising over the lake, coupled with the beautiful misty clouds that blanketed the Sobaeksan range.
It was a morning stroll where Chon Noma momentarily forgot the worries of the world and experienced the overwhelming emotion of having visited a paradise.
