September Reading Month!

Seoul is currently immersed in reading!

Seoul City is collaborating with Yes24 to operate a 'location-based e-book' service throughout September.

By verifying your location with a QR code installed around the Seoul Library and City Hall, you can access e-books without any separate registration.

How to Use:

1. Download the 'Crema Club QR' app

2. Scan the on-site QR code

3. After location verification, freely access approximately 200,000 e-books

For two weeks from the date of location verification, there is no limit on the number of books you can read!

This service reduces complicated registration processes, allowing citizens to easily access both physical and e-books in their daily lives.

In celebration of September Reading Month, we are recruiting participants for the 'Author Hip-Talk' lecture series on a first-come, first-served basis!

The theme is 'Reading - From Classics to AI, Meeting the Era through Philosophy'.

Three lectures will explore the act of reading in the past, present, and future from a philosophical perspective.

Lecture Schedule:

September 4, 11, and 18 at 7 PM

Location: 1st Floor, Thinking Maru, Seoul Library

Participants can register on a first-come, first-served basis through the Seoul Library website.

Any remaining seats due to no-shows on the day of the event can be filled through on-site registration.

September marks the return of the Seoul Outdoor Library!

After a summer break, it will resume operations from September!

Join us at the three main outdoor libraries in Seoul.

This September and October, 11 districts will host outdoor libraries that reflect local characteristics.

Check the detailed schedule and participation methods for the September reading programs at the Seoul Library website, the Seoul Outdoor Library website, and each district's public library website.
