The 2025 K-Food Belt Geumsan Ginseng Gastronomy Tour, organized by the Chungnam Culture & Tourism Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korean Food Promotion Institute, has successfully concluded amidst enthusiastic participation!
This tour, designed as a high-quality gastronomic journey to eat, see, and experience Geumsan ginseng,
received rave reviews from participants who said, “It wasn’t just a simple tour, but a complete inspiration.” ????

The highlight of this gastronomy tour was its design to allow participants to experience Geumsan ginseng in various ways through all five senses.
Beyond simply introducing local specialties, the tour progressed as a journey where history, food culture, experiences, and wellness harmoniously blended together.
A Journey Unveiled Through Stories
Ginseng Digging
First, participants walked through Gaesamteo, the origin of Geumsan ginseng, based on the story of Gang Cheo-sa, and listened to the history of ginseng with a commentator.
The addition of storytelling not only increased immersion in the journey but also provided a new appreciation for the value of Geumsan ginseng.

Geumsan Ginseng Chicken Soup
The ginseng digging experience at Sinangol Motungyi was the most popular program!
Digging ginseng directly from the ground with ginseng farmer brothers,
participants exclaimed, “No wonder Geumsan ginseng is so famous!”
The cauldron samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) that followed was truly delicious.
The warm samgyetang made with freshly harvested ginseng on-site instantly relieved the fatigue of the trip. ????✨

Ginseng Flower Wine Making
At the brewery of Kim Chang-soo, a Food Master No. 2,
participants learned about and directly made traditional distilled ginseng wine.
Participants said,
“I’ve never had this kind of experience anywhere else,”
“I didn’t know ginseng wine had such a deep story,”
expressing that it was an unforgettable experience.
Gastronomy + Wellness Completed!
Wolyeongsan Suspension Bridge
The wellness course, which connects the Wolyeongsan Suspension Bridge and the Geumsan Ginseng Hall,
was also included to allow both the body and mind to rest.
The combination of gastronomy and relaxation naturally increased satisfaction with the trip.

Most participants
expressed high satisfaction, saying,
“It was amazing that ginseng could be reborn as a gastronomic content like this,”
“It was a time to newly discover the charm of Chungnam.”
