Enjoy Cultural Tourism

A perfect place for a stroll in early summer,

Gwanghwamun Square Seoul Media Art Exhibition

You must visit the Seoul Media Art Exhibition at Gwanghwamun Square!

I had the chance to experience it firsthand!

From the media facade adorning the Sejong Center to the media wall at Gwanghwamun Station!

I will introduce you to the free artworks and some tips for enjoying the exhibition.

Exhibition Schedule: Until June 19

Exhibition Platforms:

▪️ Atelier Gwanghwa

▪️ Haechimadang Media Wall

Don’t be too disappointed!

This spring exhibition runs until June 19, but it will return in summer 2026 with a new theme!

Expect a new seasonal exhibition!

Media art that combines nature and technology awaits you at Atelier Gwanghwa.

Featured works include:

1. "Flat Ecosystem" by Kugi Jeong

2. "Dreaming of the Flower" by Lee Ye-seung

The massive media facade fills the exterior of the Sejong Center!

This spring exhibition features two artworks that welcome citizens by merging nature and digital technology.

First, let’s explore Atelier Gwanghwa!

Kugi Jeong's "Flat Ecosystem" is a generative media art piece that combines nature and digital technology.

Operating Period: April 11, 2026 - June 19, 2026

Opening Hours: Daily from 18:00 to 23:00

Admission: Free

Location: Sejong Cultural Center Media Facade

In "Flat Ecosystem," Kugi Jeong reconstructs natural elements like moss, stones, and trees through digital technology, creating a unique landscape that blends reality and virtuality.

Next, we have Lee Ye-seung's "Dreaming of the Flower," inspired by the masterpiece from the Joseon Dynasty.

It merges Korean painting, real images, and digital drawing to create a landscape where reality and imagination coexist.

After visiting Atelier Gwanghwa, don’t miss the Haechimadang Media Wall, where you can experience various media art pieces that capture the essence of Seoul's seasons.

Enjoy a special walk through the media art exhibitions in Seoul this weekend!
