Enjoy Cultural Tourism

The city of Seoul is transforming various riverside spaces into vibrant cultural and leisure spots through the 'Seoul Waterway Project'.

From the Hongjecheon Cafe Waterfall

to the Uicheon Jaeganjeong and Yangjaecheon Riverside Cultural Rest Area,

explore the emotional riverside spaces in your neighborhood.

Healing by the water,

now you can easily enjoy it in your daily life, not just by the Han River.

Imagine sipping coffee while gazing at a waterfall,

enjoying performances and walks by the water,

and experiencing relaxation in the heart of the city.

What is the Seoul Waterway Project?

The Seoul Waterway Project is an integrated brand for the city's riverside emotional city initiative, linking historical, cultural, and economic assets.

Selected through a public naming contest, 'Seoul Waterway' embodies the meaning of gathering people and culture along the sparkling waterway.

We are expanding the linear river spaces, which were previously focused on walking paths, into multifaceted areas where culture, festivals, relaxation, and leisure can be enjoyed together, providing citizens with a place to unwind in their daily lives.

Currently, there are 19 locations across Seoul under the Seoul Waterway Project.

1. Hongjecheon Cafe Waterfall - A representative riverside healing spot where you can enjoy coffee while overlooking a 25m artificial waterfall.

2. Gwanak Riverside Terrace - A multi-cultural relaxation space with busking, night markets, and festivals.
