Anderson C Presents '333 Chairs': A Unique Design Furniture Exhibition in Seongsu

Anderson C, a design furniture curation brand, has launched a special exhibition, '333 Chairs,' in Seongsu.
333 Chairs
Location: Anderson C Seongsu
Dates: October 16 - November 1, 2025
Time: 13:00 - 18:00
Admission: Free
I didn't know Anderson C had a store in Seongsu. It turns out it's in the same building that housed Define Seongsu in 2023.
The exhibition can be viewed by making a reservation in advance through the website or app, or by registering on-site.
This '333 Chairs' exhibition showcases a curated selection of 333 design chairs from Anderson C's extensive collection.
The chairs, previously dispersed across all Anderson C locations, have been brought to the Seongsu branch specifically for this exhibition.
At design chair exhibitions like Define Seoul or Chwihyanggaok, I always wondered, 'Are these even comfortable?' but never had the chance to sit on them.
However, at the '333 Chairs' exhibition, you can sit on almost all of the chairs, with only a few exceptions.
Plus, since they are for sale, you can even purchase one if you find something you love.
I thought these design chairs would be perfect as interior design accents.
There's a diverse range of chairs in various shapes and materials. I was relieved to see some familiar names among them.
I don't typically prefer leather sofas or chairs, but a tanned leather chair with a worn-in feel looked incredibly stylish.
Among the sleek chairs, a striking wood-carved chair also stood out.
This chair set was incredibly comfortable to sit on and put your feet up.
I thought the showroom's window was pretty, but it looked even better when viewed from the new building.
Even the smallest spaces were thoughtfully utilized.
They only had bar chairs I like, but it was amazing how many kinds of them there were.
The chairs placed in one space by color felt like sculptural works.
Among the many chairs, this one had a really unique shape.
This is the window of Cafe Anderson C Quad, which I saw while moving to the new building.
When I saw similar types of chairs in the small spaces of the front building, I didn't really grasp the number 333, but entering this space, I truly felt the scale of 333.
They are truly a diverse selection of chairs.
Among the flashy chairs, the ones that felt minimalist were the chairs of Jean Prouvé, who aimed for practicality and mass production with simple designs.
The moment I saw it, the red chair reminded me of Frank Gehry at the Yangpyeong Guha-House Museum, and it turned out to be a Frank Gehry chair.
I'd always been curious about it at Guha-House but couldn't try it out, but here I could sit on it. I was a little nervous because it was cardboard, but it was surprisingly comfortable.
Going up to the second floor, you can overlook the countless chairs on the first floor. You can't help but exclaim 'Wow!'
A few pieces of George Nakashima's furniture, also known as RM chairs, are exhibited together.
Only two prototypes were produced for mass production around the world, and one of them is held by Anderson C and is on display.
I finally got to sit on the Finn Juhl furniture that I loved so much at the Chwihyanggaok exhibition.
There were a few more George Nakashima chairs.
The walls of the exhibition hall also have explanations about the artists, brands, and works, so you can learn more about design chairs.
The view through the window of the old building also felt like another exhibition, and when I looked at each window, it reminded me of Edward Hopper's paintings.
Anderson C Seongsu's 333 Chair exhibition is already amazing just for being able to see a variety of design chairs in one place, but it's even better because you can actually sit on them. It's a great free exhibition.
