A Visit to the DDP Design Fair 2025: A Delightful Experience!

Today, I'm excited to share my experience visiting a special event held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, or DDP for short.
To be honest, the term 'design fair' initially sounded a bit intimidating, making me hesitate.
But once I went, it was far more enjoyable and informative than I expected!
Especially, knowing that you can have an even better time by pre-booking tickets for the DDP Design Fair 2025, right?
Now, let me share a fresh review of my visit to the DDP Design Fair with my sibling!
Dongdaemun Design Plaza DDP Design Fair 2025 Schedule and Basic Information
The DDP Design Fair is a leading design festival in Seoul, attracting many visitors every year.
The 2025 schedule is from Wednesday, October 15th to Sunday, October 19th, at the Art Hall of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).
Specifically, Wednesday starts from 2 PM, while other days are open from 11 AM to 8 PM, allowing for ample viewing time.
On the last day, Sunday, it closes at 6 PM, so be sure to check the time before visiting.
Parking costs 400 won per 5 minutes, and you can receive 1 hour free for purchases over 20,000 won within the DDP, and 2 hours free for purchases over 50,000 won.
Purchasing DDP Design Fair tickets online in advance is a great way to save time on-site.
From Standing in Line to Entering! A Vivid Review
We arrived around 2 PM, the opening time, and there were already many people waiting in line.
I thought, 'Oh no, how long will it take to get in?', but fortunately, the line moved quickly after the doors opened, and we were able to enter after waiting about 20 minutes.
The atmosphere inside the fair was really vibrant.
Various booths were showcasing their individuality, and it was bustling with people looking around.
It was a bit warm outside, but the indoor air conditioning was good. However, it might get crowded and stuffy, so I recommend dressing lightly.
I heard that you can get a gift bag on a first-come, first-served basis if you go early, so you might want to book your DDP Design Fair 2025 tickets and visit at the opening time.
Full of Emotion! Exploring the Lifestyle Zone
The DDP Design Fair boasts an even richer brand lineup through its collaboration with 29CM.
In particular, it was divided into four lifestyle zones, making it fun to explore.
You could feel a special vibe in each zone: 'Life is Maximalist', 'Ode to Rest', 'Silent Gourmet', and 'Romantic Pragmatist'.
I especially enjoyed being able to touch and smell the eco-friendly products at the Donggubat booth.
I got shampoo bars and rinse bars, which I had been curious about, at a discounted price.
Heriter's beautiful table mats and Drop Drop Drop's colorful designs also caught my eye.
Not to mention the cute goods from IYAGIYA and Friends.
It was a great opportunity to meet a wide variety of design brands in one place.
The Joy of Participating and Getting Goodies! Event & Experience Zone
At the DDP Design Fair, there were many experience zones and events where you could participate and enjoy yourself, not just look at things.
At the Finka booth, I was able to do a miniature bedding DIY experience, and the process of making my own cute bedding was really fun.
At the 29CM booth, there was an event where you could apply to live in your desired lifestyle and receive a keychain.
I was able to receive discount coupons or various gifts through QR code events set up in various places, and I was lucky enough to receive a 30% discount coupon, a pretty coaster, and a cute eco bag.
It's a lot of fun to participate in these events, so be sure to check them out when you visit!
I was surprised that I could enjoy so many things with just one DDP Design Fair ticket.
A Hidden Gem of a DDP Outing, Dongdaemun Crepe Grandpa
After visiting the DDP Design Fair, my sibling and I headed to Dongdaemun Grandpa Crepe, located near Exit 13 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station.
The fair was great, but you can't miss out on delicious food, right?
Many people were already lined up, and I was impressed by how Grandpa paid attention to hygiene and skillfully made the crepes.
We ordered a strawberry whipped cream crepe, and the combination of crispy, thin crepe, sweet whipped cream, and fresh strawberries made me happy with every bite.
The portion was really generous, so it filled me up nicely.
Enjoying the fair and then having a delicious snack made it a perfect day.
A Time Full of New Inspiration and Fun
The DDP Design Fair 2025 was not just an exhibition, but a wonderful space to gain new inspiration and have special experiences.
I was able to communicate directly with various design brands, have interesting experiences, and even enjoy delicious food.
