2026 Environment Day Week in Seoul

The city of Seoul will operate the 2026 Environment Day Week from June 5 (Friday) to June 12 (Friday).
This week includes a special lecture commemorating Environment Day, a clean-up jogging campaign around Sadang Station, and a special mileage event, all designed for easy participation by citizens in everyday environmental protection programs.
Every year, summers get hotter!
In celebration of Environment Day, Seoul will run the '2026 Environment Day Week'. During this period, various programs will be provided to practice climate crisis response and carbon neutrality in daily life.
What is Environment Day (June 5)?
It is a commemorative day designated by the UN in 1972 to raise awareness of the importance of environmental conservation worldwide.
Seoul aims to promote the value of the environment and spread a culture of carbon neutrality in daily life through the 2026 Environment Day Week.
2026 Environment Day Week: June 5 (Friday) - June 12 (Friday)
1. Special Lecture Commemorating Environment Day
'Small Actions for the Earth, Our Better Future'
This lecture is open for anyone to participate without prior reservation and will take place at Seoul City Hall.
When: June 5 (Friday), 14:00 - 16:00
Location: Seoul City Hall, 13th Floor Conference Room, West Building
2. Sadang Station 'Jogging Clean-up Campaign'
Join us for a healthy campaign where we walk and protect the environment. Citizens and student supporters will participate in the clean-up jogging campaign to create a cleaner Seoul.
When: June 6 (Saturday), 10:00 - 12:00
Location: Around Sadang Station
3. Eco Mileage '3·6·5 Challenge'
Eco Mileage can be used like cash for tax payments, gift certificate exchanges, and more. During Environment Day Week, if you practice three environmental protection activities six times in total, you can receive up to 5,000 Eco Mileage points.
Examples of activities include:
- Creating a zero-waste dining table
- Maintaining appropriate indoor temperatures
- Using stairs
4. Special Mileage Event for the Car 5-Day System
Seoul will provide Eco Mileage based on participation in the 5-Day system for cars, in collaboration with Hyundai and Kia apps.
5. 2026 Seoul Environmental Education Week Event
Held at the Seoul Energy Dream Center, this event includes competitions, forums, and various experiential programs for everyone to enjoy environmental education more easily.
