Smart Parking Tips in Nampo-dong and Gwangbok-dong, Busan

Whenever I make plans in Nampo-dong or Gwangbok-dong in Busan, the first concern that comes to mind is definitely parking.
Especially on weekends, the streets are packed with people, and driving around for a spot can waste both time and fuel.
Today, I want to share my experience at a recently visited tower-style private parking space, along with tips on how to park economically and recommendations for nearby restaurants and cafes.
If you usually feel stressed about parking in Nampo-dong, read on!
First, let’s look at the parking fees.
The rates are set at 1,500 won for 30 minutes and 3,000 won for an hour, which is generally cheaper than nearby street or outdoor parking.
If you plan to stay for a long time, it’s much more advantageous to get a daily pass for 12,000 won!
Monthly parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis for 120,000 won, but it fills up quickly, so be sure to inquire early.
The operating hours are from 8 AM to 9 PM.
Make sure to adhere to these hours to avoid extra charges!
Since it’s a tower structure, drive slowly to avoid hitting the pillars when entering or exiting.
SUVs, vans, and large vehicles may have difficulty entering due to the structure, but there are limited spaces for about two such vehicles, so it’s essential to check availability in advance.
Electric cars or vehicles with roof boxes may also have restrictions.
Another great point about using this parking lot is that if you bring a same-day receipt from a restaurant, cafe, or fashion shop within a 500m radius, you can receive additional discounts!
You can save 1,000 won if you park for more than an hour, and 500 won if it's less than an hour. It’s a small but delightful saving!
The discount is applied immediately upon showing the receipt, so there’s no need for coupons or apps, which is very convenient.
Just remember that the receipt discount is only valid for the same day, so be sure to bring it with you!
Nampo-dong and Gwangbok-dong are a paradise for sights and food, so just deciding where to go will make the parking fees worth it.
Let me introduce some places I visited.
I enjoyed a full course starting with some delicious tofu stew at Dolphin Sundubu, followed by a coffee at Stone Street right across.
Thanks to the two receipts I got here, I received a total discount of 1,000 won!
After enjoying my meal and receiving a discount, I wondered why I hadn’t known about this sooner!
Another recommended route is to have a hearty pork cutlet at Tonshow Nampo and then grab dessert next door at Regular House.
Filling up and finishing with a sweet slice of cake is simply perfect!
If you have some time left, I also recommend going to Yongdusan Park at sunset to enjoy the view of the Gwangan Bridge lights from afar.
It’s just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot, making it a pleasant stroll.
The photos taken here are truly memorable!
When sharing parking tips with friends, you’ll get a flood of questions like, “Where is that?” so don’t forget to save the location in advance!
With less worry about being late due to parking, my schedule feels much more relaxed.
Now, you can save both time and money without circling around looking for parking in Nampo-dong or Gwangbok-dong.
I’ve also started setting my meeting location first and inputting this parking lot into my navigation, which definitely eases my mind.
Let’s reduce parking stress and enjoy more time at restaurants and cafes!
If you’re unsure where to go after parking, here’s a list of recommendations:
- Restaurants: Lee Jae-mo Pizza, Jeongseong Restaurant, 123ZO, Ant House, Lee Seung-hak Donkatsu, Ilmi Milmyeon, Gen-chan Curry Nampo, Plus Meat, Wonsan Myeonok, etc.
- Cafes: Grida Couple, Arch Bakery, Casa Busano, Pilgrims, Madam Madam, Kiki Cake, Betty Village, etc.
Most of these are within a 7-8 minute walk, allowing for a half-day course with just one parking.
Lastly, due to the nature of tower parking, please ascend slowly in first gear because the entrance slope and turning radius are narrow.
I was a bit nervous at first, but the staff was very helpful, which quickly put me at ease.
The wait to exit was also short, and I was out in no time.
With less worry about being late due to parking, my schedule feels much more relaxed.
This wraps up my tips for economical parking in the Nampo-dong and Gwangbok-dong area.
I’ll share new tips as I discover them.
Have a great drive and drive safely!
