During my search for a great restaurant in Apgujeong Rodeo, I visited Goldfish Dim Sum Cuisine based on a friend's recommendation.
The owner has over 20 years of experience in the food industry in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China, which raised my expectations.
As a 14-year-old dim sum specialty restaurant, I was eager to try their offerings.

Upon arrival, Goldfish Dim Sum Cuisine is located on the 2nd floor of the Tugu Building, just a short walk from the station.
The sign is subtly illuminated, so it might take a moment to find it at first.
The interior features a modern vibe with dark tones, complemented by wooden tables and black decor, creating an upscale atmosphere.
The lighting is dim enough to make it suitable for a date, and the spacious table arrangements allow for comfortable conversations.
Awards and certificates are displayed on one side of the restaurant, showcasing their recognition over the years.
They even offer an event drink for those who write a review on their receipt.
The ordering system is through tablets, making it easy to navigate the menu with appealing photos.
We ordered the Signature Set for one person (45,000 KRW), which includes nine dishes: coin mentao, pork spring roll sticks, five-spice beef, three types of today's dim sum, spicy radish cake, mapo tofu, fried rice, and dessert.
The first items served were the coin mentao and pork spring roll sticks.
The coin mentao was perfectly sized for a single bite, featuring fresh and bouncy shrimp.
The spring rolls were crispy with just the right amount of filling, and they didn't feel greasy at all.
The five-spice beef was especially impressive, with tender slices paired with a spicy oil sauce.
The three types of dim sum, including xiaolongbao and har gow, were made by a local chef and were distinctly flavorful.
The spicy radish cake was a unique signature dish that resembled French fries but had a delightful texture.
The mapo tofu was soft and flavorful, best enjoyed with rice to balance its saltiness.
Finally, the dessert dim sum shaped like a swan was visually stunning, filled with warm custard cream, providing a sweet ending to the meal.
Overall, Goldfish Dim Sum Cuisine offers a satisfying dining experience with quality dishes and attentive service, making it a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy Chinese cuisine in Apgujeong Rodeo.
