A Year of Memories and Reflections

As Christmas approaches, this post captures a series of ordinary yet meaningful moments spent together, from shared meals to casual photo sessions and cozy café visits.
Rather than crowded holiday destinations, the focus stays on small joys, food, photos, and quiet conversations that make the season feel personal and warm.
It also reflects on how quickly the year has passed, gently transitioning from winter memories into thoughts about growth, people, and the year ahead.
Choosing calm over crowded holiday plans
With Christmas just around the corner, thoughts of traveling naturally came up. A trip to Busan on December 25 sounded tempting at first, but images of packed subways and crowded streets in Seomyeon quickly changed that plan.
Sometimes, choosing not to go is also a way of taking care of your energy. Letting go of the trip felt a little disappointing, but also strangely relieving.
A hearty meal that felt extra special
Since she would be leaving soon, we decided to share a proper meal together. Ordering a two-person set made us jokingly feel rich, and the table quickly filled up.
Shrimp tempura came as a light side dish, and with a coupon for dumplings added in, we ended up much fuller than expected.
Discovering a new favorite menu
After always ordering spicy braised short ribs, we tried the aged kimchi braised short ribs this time. The flavor was deep, comforting, and instantly memorable.
It was one of those moments when you already know what you’ll order again next time.
Winter atmosphere and photo-worthy moments
The overall mood felt just right. Even she admitted the atmosphere suited her, wearing a leopard print outfit that matched the winter vibe perfectly.
When photos turn out well, capturing the moment itself becomes a small joy.
Trying a trendy four-cut photo for memories
She usually avoids taking photos, especially four-cut photo booths. But knowing we wouldn’t see each other for a year made the suggestion easier to accept.
It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime photo session, so I ended up taking more pictures than planned.
Photoism at Kyungdae
Photoism at Kyungdae always has a clear concept and lively colors. It naturally encourages mirror shots and playful poses.
Even someone who rarely takes photos can’t help but enjoy the process there.
Early Christmas mood and playful styling
With Christmas approaching, we wore headbands and took festive photos together. The result felt cheerful, playful, and unmistakably seasonal.
Moments like these make the holiday spirit feel real, even before the actual day arrives.
From photos to coffee at Bunsun Coffee
Recently discovering Bunsun Coffee added another stop to the day. Since she often visits, going together felt natural.
The second floor had a strong study atmosphere, so we chose the first floor for a more relaxed time.
Warm drinks and a quiet break
She ordered a hot vanilla bean café latte, while I chose a sweet potato latte. The cups were cute, the latte art was lovely, and the flavors matched the season perfectly.
Bunsun Coffee is well known as a study café, but on this visit, it felt like a calm place to simply enjoy time together.
Looking back on the year as winter break begins
With the third year finished, winter break arrived sooner than expected. Time feels like it passes faster each year, and that realization hits especially hard at the end of December.
This year felt shaped by people around me, through both giving and receiving influence in quiet ways.
Preparing for the year ahead
The next post will be about the people who left a strong impression in 2025, and how those connections shaped the year.
As 2026 approaches, this feels like a gentle pause to reflect, appreciate, and move forward with intention.
