A Rainy Chuseok at The Soop Guardhouse Book Cafe in Inwangsan

The Soop Guardhouse Book Cafe
We visited The Soop Guardhouse Book Cafe in Inwangsan with family on a rainy Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving).
Opening Hours:
Daily 8 AM - 10 PM
Takeout & Parking Available
The Soop Guardhouse Book Cafe in Inwangsan is infamous for its parking situation, so it's recommended to walk or use public transportation. But because it was raining, we drove.
As expected, parking was difficult. There were many cars and the space was limited. Double parking meant frequently having to move the car, which could be challenging for inexperienced drivers.
Luckily, we managed to park and entered the cafe. It has two floors accessible by stairs.
No elevator ❌
It was crowded, but most people were quietly talking or reading, so it didn't feel noisy.
The Inwangsan Guardhouse Book Cafe also has outdoor seating, which would be lovely on a nice day for reading a book.
The outdoor seating is popular because of the panoramic view of Seoul.
Our 28-month-old wanted to go outside. We'll have to come back when it's not raining!
As a book cafe in Inwangsan, the Guardhouse Book Cafe is decorated with books! You used to be able to bring your own book to read, but now you can only read books purchased from the cafe.
Here's the menu. The menu was quite diverse, and they also sell milk and soy milk, which are good for children.
They offer a 10% discount for Jongno-gu residents and those who bring their own tumblers.
They have a good selection of bread. The baked goods are definitely better than the drinks!
The cakes were neatly arranged. We ordered a cake and it was so delicious that I want to try other cakes next time!
Chocolate Croissant: ₩4,800
The croissant is coated with chocolate, providing a sweet boost.
Soft Condensed Milk Bread: ₩6,500
The soft bread is brushed with condensed milk, but the condensed milk flavor wasn't very strong, making it less moist.
Chocolate Hazelnut Cake: ₩7,000
wooooWoo
The chocolate hazelnut cake is really delicious! It made me want to try other cakes. Highly recommended for those with a sweet tooth!
Passion Fruit Ade: ₩6,800
Matcha Latte: ₩6,500
The ade at the Guardhouse Book Cafe is sweet and refreshing. Be sure to mix it well before drinking. The matcha latte isn't very strong, so it's good for matcha beginners.
Iced Vanilla Latte: ₩6,500
Americano: ₩4,900
The coffee at the Guardhouse Book Cafe is genuinely delicious! I recommend ordering coffee rather than ade to ensure a satisfying choice.
I went to the Guardhouse Book Cafe with my sibling. I had a great time drawing, reading books, and exploring the cafe.
Note: There are no baby chairs!
The Inwangsan Cafe Guardhouse Book Cafe was a fun outing!
I want to come again when the weather is nicer!
Above are the pictures taken during the visit to the cafe.
