Winter Lights at Ulsan Samsan Design Street
I visited the Ulsan Samsan Design Street, where you can first feel the year-end atmosphere in Ulsan.
This year, just like last year, the festive spirit is in full swing! The nighttime lighting event, "Winter Light Street Nightscape Launch Ceremony," kicked off on November 21, marking the beginning of the full-scale nighttime operations.
This year, the design street is as vibrant and beautiful as ever.
The theme for this year is "Omnibus Lighting Fiesta," which reflects the unique characteristics of each street, including Samsan Design Street, Babo Intersection Design Street, and Wangri Lane, through storytelling-based lighting design. This has created a warmer and more emotional atmosphere.
Moreover, across from the design street, the Samsan area is also beautifully adorned with various lights.
The grand chandelier tree sculpture and the arch-shaped gate at the entrance of the street add to the festive ambiance.
It has become a popular spot for families and couples to take memorable photos.
The design street, a favorite among citizens for experiencing the year-end atmosphere, has adopted the omnibus lighting format this year, weaving together various independent stories into a cohesive theme. This has transformed not only the design street but the entire Samsan downtown area into a vibrant and visually captivating space.
There are also installations celebrating the transition from 2025 to 2026.
The designs utilizing various props are stunningly crafted.
I could fully immerse myself in the year-end atmosphere in the city, making it a perfect place for a winter night stroll.

It seems poised to become a representative winter attraction in Ulsan.
The winter light display at Samsan Design Street is scheduled to continue until February 2026.

While walking through the Samsan Design Street, I felt a bit chilly and decided to visit a nearby department store. This department store is also beautifully decorated every year to evoke the Christmas spirit, establishing itself as a tree landmark.
This year, it was still splendidly adorned, capturing the essence of the year-end and Christmas atmosphere.
Despite the chilly weather, there's something exciting about going out to feel the year-end vibe. I highly recommend visiting Samsan Design Street for a convenient parking experience and to fully immerse yourself in the festive Christmas atmosphere.
