Visit Review of the Goheung Aerospace Festival Popup at The Hyundai Seoul

Hello! This is Ellory Mom :)
My kids have been really into reading fairy tales lately. Recently, they read a book about meteors and have been seriously imagining what would happen if a meteor fell every night, keeping them awake with excitement.
So, I took them to the National Museum of Korea a while ago. Then I heard that a special popup store celebrating the Goheung Aerospace Festival was opening at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido.
Since the kids' curiosity was at its peak, I thought it would be great to show them in person, so I visited with a fluttering heart.
The Goheung Aerospace Festival Popup is located on the basement level of The Hyundai Seoul, right next to Five Guys.
It's easy to spot, as it's near the escalator going up.
Parking is free for a certain period depending on your spending at the department store: 1 hour for over 50,000 won and 2 hours for over 100,000 won. It might be better to get a free parking voucher through the Hyundai Department Store app or use public transportation.
As soon as we entered the popup, we were greeted by a giant astronaut model, as well as models of the Nuri and Naro rockets that showcase our country's technology.
It was really beneficial for the kids to feel the actual proportions of the rockets they had only seen in books.
This event is a preview of the 16th Goheung Aerospace Festival, which will be held next month at the Naro Space Center in Jeonnam Goheung.
There were many high-quality exhibits, including the actual spacesuit worn by astronaut Yi So-yeon and models of satellites.
Visitors could also apply for a tour of the Naro Space Center launch site, which is usually strictly off-limits to the public, and many showed interest.
Once my child is a bit older, I think it would be a fantastic experience to take them down to Goheung to see the launch site in person.
One of the fun points was that there were staff members dressed as avatars and aliens resembling ET throughout the exhibition.
I thought my kids would enjoy taking pictures with them, but the costumes seemed too real for them.
My kids were so startled that they felt like they had met real aliens and stayed far away, just watching from a distance.
Other kids were taking pictures in cool poses wearing the free space suits, but mine preferred watching the older kids in the suits.
Even without taking photos, I felt proud knowing that they already had vivid memories of space in their minds.
The place where my kids spent the longest time was the Spider Robot Experience Zone.
They operated robots using remote controls to navigate steep paths.
They learned that such robots are used to repair the exterior of spaceships and were quite serious about it.
They enjoyed the experience so much that they didn't get bored while waiting in line and even did it twice.
It seems that hands-on experiences like this are the best learning opportunities for kids.
After finishing the exploration, we slowly checked out the goods section.
It was filled with space-related items from trendy brands like MoSci and Cosmoswag.
We bought a rocket keychain and a badge that the kids chose.
Now they are excited to show their friends about the rocket while attaching it to their kindergarten bags.
The popup exhibition felt carefully prepared to help children feel a bit closer and more familiar with the mysterious world of space.
