Namwon Fiorium is a newly established cultural and artistic space in Namwon, Jeollabuk-do.
Namwon is historically recognized as the hometown of the classic tale Chunhyangjeon and is well-known for its beautiful scenery of Jirisan Mountain. Recently, Namwon has evolved into a vibrant travel destination, blending its traditional charm with modern artistic attractions.
Following the introduction of the Namwon City Kim Byung-jong Art Museum last month, the media art exhibition space Fiorium, which opened last year, has become a must-visit location for travelers.
Fiorium tells a story of nature and art, transforming a former waste facility into an eco-friendly art space. The name Fiorium combines the beautiful Korean word for 'bloom' with 'rium,' meaning space, symbolizing the revival of culture and life in a previously neglected area.
This venue draws inspiration from the modernized Korean painting of artist Kim Byung-jong, interpreting Namwon's natural beauty and literary heritage through the contemporary language of media art.

The first space, LUMINA, themed 'Memories of Light, Staying in the Garden of Time,' welcomes visitors through a moonlit door into a fantastical garden filled with dreamy colors and swirling light.
SPECTRUM BLOOM explores beings born of light amidst the whispers of the forest. The vibrant flowers bloom in response to the visitors' movements, creating an illusion of standing in the heart of the woods.
Seed of Light illustrates the moment when the seed of light, heralding eternity, bursts forth in a dazzling display, with sparkling particles resembling falling starlight covering the entire space.
AURA is the space that most vividly reflects Kim Byung-jong's artistic style, where the light of memory blooms, and blessings dance amidst a brilliant palette of colors, filling the walls with vibrant contrasts and graceful curves.
ECHO is an interactive space where visitors can contribute. The memories and words of the mountains, illuminated on the floor and walls, blend with the visitors' messages, creating a grand mountain of collective memories.
Breathe of Infinity offers an experience of walking into the breath of infinite light. Through endless reflections created by mirrors and light, visitors can find tranquility in a serene forest of light.
A unique experience zone allows visitors to color designs and see their drawn constellations come to life in the media display of the night sky. This activity sparks joy for children and creates special memories for adults.

When planning your visit to Fiorium, take advantage of the Namwon Citizen membership system, which offers a 50% discount on admission for new members. The basic adult ticket is 12,000 KRW, reduced to 6,000 KRW, while youth and child tickets are 4,000 KRW and 3,000 KRW, respectively.
