My Unsuccessful Adventure at the Apgujeong Rodeo 'Toy Story' Claw Machine Arcade

Address: Seolleung-ro 157-gil 25, or Sinsa-dong 657-11
Today, I finally visited the 'Toy Story' claw machine arcade in Apgujeong Rodeo that I'd been meaning to check out!
It's a small place, which is why I usually ended up going to the huge arcade across the street. This place is much smaller, but it still has both large and small plushie claw machines.
One side has the big plushie machines and the ones where you press a button to try and win. I tried twice on those, but of course, I failed.
Does anyone actually win on those?
Usually, they have the same plushies in each machine, but here, they had a variety of plushies inside.
Poo, Pikachu, Hamtaro, Crayon Shin-chan! And Tinky Winky! It's been a while.
They had more of the smaller claw machines.
At first, I thought I'd just try a few times lightly and stop if I wasn't having any luck.
But of course,
I kept thinking, 'I'll get it next time,' or 'I really grabbed it well this time!' and before I knew it, I'd spent ₩10,000, ₩20,000...
I would grab the plushie well, but the moment it started lifting, the claw would just lose its grip.
Especially when the claw was holding the plushie right in front of the prize chute, it would lose strength, and the plushie would keep falling.
Falling at the entrance... This is what keeps me spending money without realizing it.
The video below is just a few clips.
In the end, I spent more than I expected and snapped back to reality.
I didn't win a single plushie, and all that was left was the bitter taste of defeat and empty hands.
Claw machines are definitely not about luck. It's all about the 'grip strength' of the claw. Another painful lesson learned!
(Even knowing this, I keep playing...)
I even tried my luck with the Line Friends machines.
I decided to focus on just one type, so I went for Hello Kitty and Line Friends.
But of course, of course...
I was the only one getting ripped off.
I just wasted money and gave up.
Behind the thrill of gambling games, there's always a cold reality... (My money!)
I have no intention of revisiting..
But if, maybe, I happen to be drunk again and end up going back...
I really need to use only a set amount of money and leave without regret!
(Yeah right, if I go back, I'll probably be mindlessly inserting money like today...)
