Exploring Ulsan Station: A Guide to Parking and Facilities

I recently visited Ulsan Station, which serves as a key transportation hub in Ulsan.
To travel by train in Ulsan, you will primarily use Ulsan Station and Taehwagang Station.
Today, let's take a closer look at Ulsan Station, where you can catch KTX and SRT trains.
Parking Information
Before visiting Ulsan Station, it's essential to know the parking details.
There are two parking lots: Lot A and Lot B. Lot A is preferred as it is closer to the entrance, while Lot B is also nearby.
However, if you have heavy luggage, you might want to prioritize Lot A, as it requires a bit more walking from Lot B.
Parking reservations, like at airports, are not available, so you'll need to check for available spots upon arrival.
I usually park in Lot B when I visit Ulsan Station. Although it’s slightly farther, it often has more available spaces, and it allows for an easier exit into the alley when leaving.
The parking fee is 13,000 KRW per day.
Discounts are available for small cars and eco-friendly vehicles (hybrid, electric, hydrogen), which can receive a 50% discount.
Unlike Lot A, Lot B does not have a prepayment machine. If you qualify for a discount when leaving, make sure to inform the staff by pressing the call button.
If you mistakenly pay at Lot A, you can get a refund and pay again upon exit.
The entrance to the parking lot looks like this.
On weekends, the parking lot can be quite crowded, so you may need to wait or consider alternative parking. Therefore, I usually head directly to Lot B on Thursdays or Fridays to avoid potential crowds.
Facilities Inside and Outside
Now, let’s explore the facilities at Ulsan Station.
Outside, there are bus and taxi stands for limousines. If you don’t have a vehicle, you can easily catch a taxi or limousine bus at the entrance.
Inside, you’ll find various restaurants, convenience stores, and cafes. There are also luggage storage options, seating areas, and battery rental services.
To access the train platforms, you can use the central corridor, which is equipped with elevators, escalators, and stairs.
Note that there are no escalators going down, so you will need to use the elevator or stairs. However, there is a significant incline when going up, so using the escalator is recommended for convenience.
Once you reach the top, you’ll find a convenience store and a resting area. In the summer, air conditioning is available, and in the winter, heating is provided, making it a comfortable place to relax.
This concludes our overview of Ulsan Station’s parking information, various facilities, and train boarding areas. Are you ready for an enjoyable train journey?
