The cool breeze of autumn has begun to settle in.

If you want to enjoy the clear and high skies of fall, how about visiting the Goryeong Dasan Ginkgo Forest?

Location: 969 Jwahak-ri, Dasan-myeon, Goryeong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do

Open year-round, always accessible.

Last year, a large cosmos field was created here, establishing it as a popular spot for cosmos flowers. You can see the cosmos until mid-October, but during my visit around October 22, it was already preparing for a different transformation.

The name 'cosmos' comes from the Greek word 'KOSMOS,' which means order, harmony, and universe. Each color of cosmos has its own flower language.

Since cosmos flowers easily wilt in the rain, it seems best to head out if the weather is nice. Make sure to capture beautiful life moments with the cosmos in 2027.

Now, leaving behind the bittersweet feeling of the cosmos, let me introduce you to the Dasan Ginkgo Forest. This vast forest spans about 345,000 square meters. It began in 1990 when residents started planting ginkgo trees, and it has grown into a magnificent forest today.

In November, the forest will turn a beautiful yellow, creating a stunning spectacle. However, my early visit was still very rewarding, thanks to the well-maintained walking paths and facilities.

The spacious parking lot can accommodate about 600 vehicles, and there are also temporary restrooms, which I believe will attract even more visitors this year compared to last year.

The ginkgo trees lined along the Nakdong River are impressively tall. The sunlight filtering through the leaves was dazzling and truly beautiful.

Be cautious of the ginkgo fruit, as it can emit a strong odor, so watch your step. The fruit only grows on female trees.

Did you know that the ginkgo tree, commonly seen as a street tree, is classified as an endangered species? Due to its unique reproduction method, it does not easily propagate in the wild, so most are cultivated by human hands.

Given the status of this plant, we must cherish and preserve nature.

The impatient ginkgo trees are already starting to change color. I look forward to seeing the Dasan Ginkgo Forest completely yellow in two weeks.

From November 14 to 22, there will be an event called “For Rest For You” held here.

It would be great to enjoy an autumn outing with friends, family, or a partner under the yellow ginkgo trees.
