When we think of cherry blossom spots,
Yeouido or Gyeongju usually come to mind.
I was no different.
However, I was surprised to discover a place like this in Anyang.
I visited the Anyang Chung-Hoon Cherry Blossom Festival with both excitement and skepticism,
but it was much better organized than I expected.
If you also visit the nearby two museums,
you can fill a whole day with activities.
It was an easy course to explore with my two kids.

The festival took place from April 11 to 12
at the area under the Chung-Hoon 2nd Bridge and Seoksu-ro.
From noon to 9 PM, various experiences, performances,
and food stalls were available.
Entry was free,
and parking was convenient with nearby temporary parking lots.
The food trucks and market set up at the festival were particularly notable.
With a variety of options and relatively reasonable prices,
it was easy to enjoy without any burden.

There were also performances and experience booths,
which captured the children's interest and encouraged active participation.
With food, performances, and experiences all in one place,
a couple of hours at the festival flew by.

Various performances and shows were held at the main stage at different times.
From DJ performances to programs suitable for all ages,
the variety was impressive.

The lower walking path featured flower beds,
allowing for close appreciation of spring blooms.
Even without designated photo zones,
there were plenty of natural spots for photography.
After the walk, visiting the nearby Anyang Museum and Kim Joong-up Architecture Museum is a great idea.
Anyang Museum offers a glimpse into the region's history and culture,
and admission is free.
The exhibition, focusing on life in Anyang from prehistoric times to modern days,
is accessible for children.
The Kim Joong-up Architecture Museum itself feels like a work of art.
Through architectural drawings, models, and photographs,
visitors can explore the world of architect Kim Joong-up,
with well-explained exhibits that make it interesting even without prior knowledge.
Free guided tours are offered three times a day.
The museum café on the first floor provides a place to rest,
and the proximity of the two museums makes it easy to explore both.
The route from the festival to the museums is well-structured,
making it suitable for a half-day to a full-day itinerary.
You can enjoy a fulfilling experience without traveling far.
