Pick Bake

81 Namdaemun-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul

Every day 10:30 AM - 8:00 PM

Friday to Sunday until 8:30 PM

When you head to the food court on the basement level,

there's a place that fills the air with delightful aromas.

I visited Myeongdong Pick Bake,

drawn in by the scent of butter!

The exterior of Myeongdong Pick Bake is quite eye-catching,

with its blue color making it stand out.

The line here is incredibly long,

so anyone can tell this is Pick Bake! Haha.

At the counter, you can find pre-packaged egg tarts,

and the staff are bustling about!

They work incredibly fast.

They also had a special event where you receive a diary

with purchases over 30,000 won,

exclusively at the Myeongdong location!

As far as I know, this isn't a pop-up shop,

but I'm not entirely sure! Haha.

The menu at Pick Bake Myeongdong offers reasonable prices

for egg tarts and drinks.

I chose a tart I wanted to share with my sisters.

However, the tart filling isn't different; it's just the egg tart base with different creams on top,

which made me ponder a bit! Haha.

Watching the tarts bake is quite a fun experience...

They keep baking,

so there seems to be no worry about stock! Haha.

The aroma is divine.

All the cream-topped tarts were in the refrigerator.

The fresh strawberry tart looked delicious,

and I wanted to try the chocolate tart as well.

The creamy egg tart is incredibly sweet...

With its pastry texture, when you take a bite,

you hear a satisfying crunch!

I took a picture of the intriguing brown sugar bubble tart.

I didn't try the milk baguette at the time but had it later,

and it was a crispy and sweet baguette!

It had a slightly sweet coating on top.

The line moved quickly, and I waited just a little over 5 minutes.

Since everything is takeout here, the line flows smoothly.

We stored our food at room temperature and ate it right away!

Even when cold, it had an ice cream-like feel!

If you freeze it, you can enjoy it longer.

Heating it in the oven might make it even crispier.

Now, here are the reviews of what we ordered:

We got one basic egg tart and a lemon cream cheese tart,

and I was curious about the banoffee tart!

Banoffee is banana caramel toffee, right?

I'm not sure what 'no' means! Haha.

Anyway, it was topped generously with chocolate.

I feel a bit awkward taking pictures while eating,

but the crunch of the pastry is an art.

Crispy~~

The egg tart filling is sweet,

making it a perfect pairing with coffee.

It’s a flavor everyone would enjoy as a snack.

The banoffee has banana inside,

and eating it with the banana is just amazing.

I think it would be easier to cut and eat.

The tart filling paired well with the chocolate too.

The lemon tart is refreshing,

so I highly recommend it!

Sweet + tangy combination is unbeatable!

The cream cheese is sweet + sweet,

so if you love cheese, you'll really enjoy it.

It was my sister's favorite! Haha.

If you're passing by Myeongdong and are curious about Pick Bake,

it's perfect for a quick stop to grab something!
