As the weather starts to warm up, it seems natural to seek out camping sites.
This spring, I visited the Onsaemiro Auto Camping Site in Hamann.
Since it is managed by Hamann-gun, the entire camping area was well-maintained and clean,
and the prices were affordable compared to the facilities, leaving a good first impression.
Moreover, residents of Hamann-gun receive a 30% discount, making it even more accessible.
The site offers various areas such as gravel, deck, and tent zones, allowing you to choose according to your camping style.
Common facilities like washbasins, showers, and toilets are generally kept clean, making it a highly satisfying camping spot in spring.
If you are visiting for the first time, the entrance to the camping site can be a bit confusing.
Right after crossing the bridge leading to the Ipgo Municipal Park parking lot,
there is a path on the right side that you can take to enter.
Upon arrival, the first stop is the management office.
You will receive basic information, a guide, and trash bags.
It's important to note the discount benefits.
Reservations are made through Naver, and the discounts are verified on-site and refunded accordingly.
Residents of Hamann-gun, families with three or more children, and multicultural families can enjoy a 30% discount, making it even more attractive.
The management of facilities is good, so if you qualify for the discount, it seems like a cost-effective camping site.
The management office has a microwave for campers' use,
and firewood for campfires can be purchased for 10,000 KRW per bundle.
Now, let's take a closer look at the Onsaemiro Camping Site.
The site is adjacent to popular areas like Onsaemiro Park and Ipgo Municipal Park.
However, the camping area is managed to prevent outsiders from entering, so you don’t have to worry about noise.
Onsaemiro Auto Camping Site is divided into gravel, deck, and tent zones, allowing you to choose according to your camping style.
Each area has distinct characteristics, making it easy to select based on your purpose or equipment size.
The gravel site is relatively spacious at 7.7m × 8m, with prices ranging from 35,000 KRW to 50,000 KRW, offering good value.
It's suitable for large tents or spacious living areas.
The tent zone measures 5.5m × 7m and costs between 70,000 KRW and 80,000 KRW, featuring a structure that makes it more convenient to use.
It seems to be a site where you can prioritize convenience over the deck zone.
I stayed in the deck zone, which is 5.5m × 6.7m in size, with fees ranging from 40,000 KRW to 55,000 KRW, making it quite affordable.
The deck size is spacious enough for a standard tent, but larger tents would fit better in the gravel zone.
The deck site has hooks installed, making pitching tents much easier.
We aimed for a simple camping experience, so we only pitched a tarp.
In the pleasant April weather, a tarp was sufficient.
Each site is also separated by natural plants, providing privacy between neighboring sites, making it comfortable for families or those looking for a quiet camping experience.
After setting up the tent, we relaxed and watched TV, and the free Wi-Fi at the camping site worked well, making it convenient.
The common areas are well-maintained, with clean washbasins and recycling stations.
The shower facilities were also well-kept, feeling regularly cleaned, which is crucial for camping satisfaction.
However, the space might be a bit small, accommodating up to two people at a time.
Overall, the Onsaemiro Auto Camping Site impressed me with its cleanliness and organization, making it a great place for family camping.
As the sun set, we enjoyed a simple dinner of pork belly and ramen, which felt more delicious in the camping atmosphere.
After dinner, we relaxed, enjoyed the campfire, and the rain that began at night created a calm and cozy ambiance.
The next morning was clear, allowing for an easy and pleasant packing experience.
Overall, Onsaemiro Auto Camping Site is highly recommended for family camping or a light weekend getaway.
