Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization are launching a local travel project called ‘Weekend in Gyeonggi’ that encourages residents to experience unique local resources close to their everyday lives, moving away from the usual tourist hotspots. The project will take place from August to October across seven cities in the province, with a total of 17 events scheduled, and participants will be recruited according to the program schedule.

The ‘Weekend in Gyeonggi’ program reinterprets local resources such as neighborhood hills, regional grape farms, rice from Icheon, ceramic culture from Yeoju, and Namhansanseong, transforming them into travel content.

2nd Theme: Sweet Week | A seasonal gourmet trip with Hwaseong grapes.

3rd Theme: Rice Power Week | Discovering the true taste of rice with Icheon rice.

4th Theme: Handmade Week | Create your own pottery in Yeoju.
