Spanning approximately 83.5 hectares, exploring the entire garden can take a considerable amount of time. For a more relaxed experience, consider taking the tour train or renting a bicycle.

The Taehwagang National Garden tour train departs from the information center.

The fare is ₩2,000 (₩1,000 for Ulsan residents; ID required for discount). It operates every 20 minutes. You can disembark at the entrance to Simni Bamboo Grove, but re-boarding is not allowed.

Bicycle rentals are available from 09:30 to 17:00 (last rental at 16:00), closed every Monday and Tuesday.

Rental fees (per hour): ₩2,000 for a single-seater / ₩4,000 for a four-seater. Four-seater carriages are available on weekends only.

A physical form of ID is required for bicycle rental, so be sure to bring yours if you plan to rent a bike.

Autumn at Taehwagang National Garden

I visited Taehwagang National Garden, a must-see Ulsan destination, on Saturday, November 8, 2025. It was awash in autumn colors, with maples, silver grass, chrysanthemums, and pink muhly grass.

The poppy garden was being prepared for next spring's sowing.

The chrysanthemum garden was filled with endless yellow chrysanthemums.

People from all over the country flocked to Taehwagang National Garden on a weekend morning to see the chrysanthemums.

Stroll through the chrysanthemums, immerse yourself in their fragrant aroma, and capture memorable photos at the picturesque photo zones.

Next to the chrysanthemum garden is a playground for children.

There's also a loess path that's beneficial for health, ensuring an enjoyable time for visitors of all ages.

Towards Osan Pond, you'll find pink muhly grass and pampas grass, though they were slightly past their peak.

At Osan Pond, relax on benches while watching the refreshing fountain, and savor the autumn atmosphere.

Before autumn fades away, experience the full beauty of the season at Taehwagang National Garden, a highly recommended Ulsan autumn travel destination.
