A Whimsical Visit to Changnyeong's Mountain Rabbit Song Park

In Ibang-myeon, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, there's a unique experiential tourist spot themed around mountain rabbits. It's a fun place where you can see real, live rabbits and explore various spaces decorated with rabbit motifs.
A family of rabbit statues greets you at the entrance! It's a themed facility tailored to children's eye level, making it a great place to visit with kids.
You need to purchase admission tickets using the unmanned ticket machine.

From the entrance, you can see many families visiting. The reason people gather here is because of the rabbits.
These are baby rabbits living in a small rabbit village. Although they are behind bars, you can see them drinking water and hopping around. It seems to stimulate children's curiosity.
Changnyeong Mountain Rabbit Song Park is based on the children's song 'Mountain Rabbit,' which was often sung in childhood. Mr. Lee Il-saeng, who wrote the song, worked as a teacher at Ibang Elementary School and was inspired at that time.
Let's start exploring! First up is the small zoo. This is where various animals such as sheep, mini horses, chinchillas, and desert foxes live.
You can meet small and cute animal friends. There are signs that tell you their names and characteristics, and you can see animals you've seen on TV with your own eyes. There were many animals I was seeing for the first time, and they were so cute. I came to show them to my child, but I think the parents will also be fascinated.
If you've looked around the zoo, now go to the rabbit feeding experience area to see the rabbits! Note that the feeding experience was originally available, but it has been suspended due to changes in the zoo law. But you can still see the rabbits, so don't worry.
There are rabbits of various nationalities here, with different sizes and fur colors. You can have a fun time because they are different from the rabbits you usually know.
After enjoying the outdoor space for a while, we arrived at the Mountain Rabbit Song Hall. It's a kind of themed hall.
It consists of a total of 5 exhibition halls on the 1st and 2nd floors. It's a good idea to improve your basic understanding of rabbits in Exhibition Halls 1 and 2 first, and then go up to the 2nd floor. The screening room where you can watch 3D animations is only open on weekends, so please keep that in mind.
Exhibition Hall 3 is a must-see place where you can see the traces of Mr. Lee Il-rae, who wrote the children's song. You can see the traces of the teacher's activities and reminisce about the past by recreating the classroom at that time.
You can also listen to songs with headphones on site. I thought that the current generation doesn't sing children's songs well, so they might not even know the mountain rabbit song. It's a place that stimulates memories for adults and childlike innocence for children, so it's a great place to have a fun outing.
Lastly, a new water play facility has been created. The facilities were neat and well-maintained, but when I visited, it was under testing and access was prohibited. It would be good to keep up with the news.
