Children's Day is perhaps the most eagerly awaited day of the year for our kids!

On the occasion of the 104th Children's Day, the '2026 Ulsan Buk-gu Children's Grand Festival' was held grandly at the Ulsan Buk-gu Office area.

This year's event was filled with even more diverse programs and activities than in previous years, offering an abundance of fun that made one day feel insufficient.

The sounds of children's laughter filled the venue, and I had the opportunity to experience the vibrant atmosphere firsthand.

The festival took place at the Ulsan Buk-gu Office Square, where ample parking was provided, making it convenient for many visitors.

As expected for a Children's Day event, there were many families, and the parking management was well-organized, ensuring smooth movement.

The Ulsan Buk-gu Children's Grand Festival ran from 9 AM to 3 PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, and the festive atmosphere was palpable from the moment we entered the venue.

Colorful balloons were handed out at the entrance to enhance the excitement of Children's Day, and to ensure safety, children wore identification wristbands to enjoy the festivities worry-free.

Starting at 9 AM, snacks were distributed at the stamp tour booth on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, when we arrived around 9:20 AM, the snacks were already gone. It seems to be a popular event!

However, we were able to enjoy some delicious bread and water to ease our disappointment.

Next to the stamp tour booth, there were diaper changing stations and nursing rooms, ensuring that families with young children could enjoy the festival comfortably throughout the day.

The main stage was filled with exciting music, and at 9:30 AM, the pre-event activities officially began.

The Buk-gu Children's Choir kicked off the performances with a bright and energetic show, followed by a captivating robot dance performance showcasing the charm of K-robots.

The Taekwondo demonstration, which had already caught attention during rehearsals, added to the excitement.

After the ceremony concluded at 10:40 AM, the experience booths opened! Visitors could have fun at various booths and receive souvenirs by completing seven stamps.

A total of 27 experience booths were operational, and the variety of programs made it a delightful challenge for parents and kids to decide where to start.

We decided to visit the booth my child was most excited about first. We participated in face painting and a zero-waste fishing experience run by the Buk-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, where children learned about the importance of the environment and recycling through play.

At the colorful food and healthy eating booth, kids learned about proper eating habits and dental care in a fun and engaging way.

Additionally, a K-striking martial arts experience was available, where my child, initially curious, soon followed the instructor's moves and even scored points!

The weather was sunny, as if welcoming Children's Day, and as time passed, more families arrived, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Queues formed at popular experience booths, with excited children waiting their turn while parents captured memories with photos.

On a side note, free ice cream was distributed to help beat the heat, allowing kids to take a refreshing break while playing in the sun.

One of the most popular booths was the 'Buk-gu Kids Construction Site Experience,' where children donned safety helmets and operated small construction equipment, feeling like real construction workers.

Safety education experiences were also offered, teaching children how to respond in emergencies by practicing with fire extinguishers.

From touching caterpillars to making rabbit dolls filled with happiness, the festival featured various engaging experiences.

As we collected stamps from the booths, we eagerly headed to booth 31 to participate in the prize event.

My child was thrilled just watching the spinning roulette, and when it was our turn, the excitement was palpable!

Fortunately, we won a gift that my child loved, adding to the joy of the experience.

With the prize in hand, we returned to the main stage, where lively dance performances and captivating bubble shows elevated the festive spirit.

Children cheered as large bubbles floated into the sky, and many danced along to the upbeat music.

Interactive OX quizzes and a dance competition showcased the talents of young stars on stage, with parents cheering enthusiastically from the audience.

The event also featured play areas for children of all ages, including large inflatable bounce houses, ensuring a safe and fun environment.

The enticing aroma from the food court was hard to resist, as families found shaded areas to relax and enjoy snacks together.

The Ulsan Buk-gu Children's Grand Festival was filled with various stage performances and rich experiences, making it a joyous occasion for our family.

We look forward to seeing what delightful experiences await us next year!
