We recently took a short summer vacation to Jeju Island.
Although it was a brief trip, the weather was great, and we had a truly relaxing time.
We usually use Socar whenever we visit Jeju Island.
Since it was a short trip and we were planning to stay near Jeju Airport, we rented a Ray (Kia Morning).
To cut to the chase, while it's cost-effective, it wasn't quite satisfactory enough for us to rent it again!

Shuttle Bus Service Available
Socar Station is about a 10-minute shuttle bus ride from the Jeju Airport exit parking lot.
While you can rent a Socar directly from the Jeju Airport parking lot, if your desired car model isn't available, you'll unfortunately have to use another location.
Socar Station offers a wider variety of car models and operates a shuttle bus, making it a convenient rental option.
Exit Jeju Airport through Gate 5.
Look for the Rental Car House sign and find Zone 5, Paris Baguette! You'll find the boarding area right there.
The shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes, and please note that it's not a 24-hour service!

Socar Station → Jeju Airport
First Bus: 07:00 / Last Bus: 22:40
As soon as we got off the plane, we checked the time and headed to the shuttle bus stop accordingly.
The bus departs on time, so you need to arrive early and wait.
The drivers were generally friendly, which made the experience pleasant!
When waiting for the shuttle bus to Jeju Airport, you can wait comfortably inside a container :)
There are various cars available, including the Ray, Carnival, and sedans. The parking lot is also spacious, so it's easy to move around even with luggage~
For this trip, our car was the Ray!
The compact cars are clustered together. When booking, we were deciding between the Ray and the Casper, but we chose the Ray this time.
We thoroughly checked the vehicle before driving and then started our journey.
The Ray is a compact car but has a relatively spacious interior, so it didn't feel cramped or uncomfortable!
There's enough space in the back for a suitcase, so we had plenty of room to store our groceries and other items!
Ray Rental Price for 1 Night and 2 Days
Total Price: ₩59,230!
It was a decent price for a day, but... the battery died in the evening, which cost us a service call and valuable time...
When renting a Socar in Jeju, make it a habit to ALWAYS turn off the lights and air conditionerㅠㅠ
Fortunately, we didn't have to replace the battery, so we only incurred a ₩20,000 service call fee...!
If your desired car model isn't available at Jeju Airport parking lot, considering Socar Station Jeju is a good choice!
