As soon as I arrived in Jeju, I craved a plate of sashimi and decided to visit Cheonghaeya, a seafood restaurant near the airport. After some research, I found out that the popular K-pop group EXO had recently dined there, which piqued my curiosity.

Many other celebrities have also visited, so I thought it must be worth a try. The fact that it is so popular suggests there must be a good reason for it!

Upon parking and entering the restaurant, I was immediately impressed. The restaurant is right by the sea, and I was treated to an incredible view of planes flying overhead. It was a spectacular sight that I had never experienced before.

After some deliberation, we ordered the special sashimi set for four, which was a fantastic deal at 200,000 KRW. The best part? Sashimi is available for unlimited refills!

4. Hearty and Delicious Special Course

After placing our order, we were quickly served an array of side dishes, including various sauces, simple appetizers, porridge, seafood, pancakes, grilled items, and fried dishes. Everything was fresh and expertly prepared.

The live abalone sashimi was a delight, and the cheese bomb corn salad was so tasty that even my child couldn't get enough of it.

The grilled abalone was rich in butter flavor, making it a must-try. The fried dishes and grilled fish were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, leaving us wanting more.

The beautifully presented sashimi melted in my mouth, with no fishy taste at all. It was incredibly fresh and flavorful.

5. Braised Hairtail Set Meal

After a three-night stay in Jeju, we returned to Cheonghaeya for lunch before heading to the airport. This time, we ordered the braised hairtail set meal, which was equally delicious.

The seasoning was spicy yet sweet, making it addictive. I mixed my rice with the rich broth and enjoyed a fulfilling final meal in Jeju.

Cheonghaeya offers both the beautiful view of the blue sea and the fresh taste of Jeju. I highly recommend that you enjoy a meal here during your trip!
