I'm reviewing Kouun, a cafe near Nonhyeon Station in Seoul, again. I've become a regular here recently because I love their shaved ice, financiers, and interior.

1. Location of Kouun Sinnonhyeon Main Branch

It's about a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station, making it easily accessible by public transportation. The exotic exterior makes it easy to spot.

There's parking in front of the cafe for about two cars, which is a great service considering many cafes and restaurants in the Nonhyeon area don't offer parking.

2. Bright and Welcoming Interior

The interior has a bright atmosphere and is generally very clean. The unique style of the tables and chairs always makes me happy to visit.

I always admire the tables and chairs. I feel like I could create a cafe atmosphere at home with them! The chairs are comfortable, making it a great place to chat with my girlfriend. The desserts and drinks are all delicious, so I keep coming back here.

Information about the financiers is posted on one side of the cafe, so read it carefully before making your choice. This place is popular for its financiers, and many people find it after seeing information on Instagram.

We were lucky to visit when there were plenty of financiers available. Just looking at them on display made my mouth water. I wanted to try them all.

You can easily order using the kiosk. There's a note asking for one drink per person or one shaved ice per two people. They also make great shaved ice, so you won't regret any choice you make.

3. Financiers, Drinks, and Shaved Ice

At this cafe near Nonhyeon Station, we ordered a variety of items. Shaved ice and financiers were a must, and we also ordered some drinks.

The plum-flavored ade was sweet and captured the natural flavor of plums. My girlfriend took a sip and was immediately impressed, drinking it all at once.

They put so much care into making not only baked goods and shaved ice, but also the drinks, which is why I keep coming back here instead of other cafes. I'm sure you'll agree once you visit.

Since I visited after a meal, I ordered a plum ade that was easy to drink. It was refreshing and clean.

This plum ade went well with both the baked goods and the shaved ice. The moderate sweetness made it a great match for all the menu items.

My girlfriend ordered a cafe latte, and she was impressed by the rich flavor. A good latte should have a naturally rich flavor without needing any additives, and this place does it very well.

4. Snowflake Shaved Ice

The shaved ice we ordered was a mango and cheese snowflake shaved ice. It looked delicious, and I even wondered if the owner was being too generous with the ingredients!

The cool mango and the smooth cheese created a rich flavor in my mouth. The syrup was also added in just the right amount, creating a wonderful sweetness.

The snowflake-shaped ice didn't melt easily, so we were able to enjoy it until the very end. I admit that this is a great shaved ice restaurant!

5. Homemade Acai Bowl Snowflake Shaved Ice

Mango shaved ice is good, but I really want to recommend the homemade acai bowl snowflake shaved ice. It's delicious and healthy.

It's a hearty dessert filled with fruit and nuts. It was so impressive that I even told my friends that everyone should try it.

We were so full from eating two kinds of shaved ice, financiers, and drinks, but I still wanted more. I especially wanted to eat the acai bowl snowflake shaved ice again the next day.

The tartness and sweetness of the berries, combined with the nuts, made it feel healthy every time I took a bite. It's a menu item I'll want even in the winter, but especially in the summer.

6. Financiers

You can tell how serious the owner is about financiers just by looking at them.

The Hwang Cheese Poto financier tasted like Poto cheese snack, but more luxurious. It was slightly salty, which was perfect for me.

The apple pie financier also had a luxurious feel and was so delicious that I stopped talking and just ate.

They use plenty of ingredients, so you can fully enjoy the rich flavor of the financier.

Even if you don't usually enjoy desserts, you'll be impressed here. The salted chocolate was also my style.

Each one has a great depth of flavor and a substantial feel, so I even got a box to take home.

The advantage of having parking and the owner's dedication to desserts and drinks make this a place that I hope many people will visit. I'll be back soon.
