Inside a Flavorful Okonomiyaki Experience in Seongsu-dong
While spending a fun day in Seongsu, I stopped by a well-known okonomiyaki restaurant called Hacho.
With its calm atmosphere, friendly staff, and a signature set menu, it turned out to be a satisfying meal that met my high expectations.
This post shares my honest experience, from the vibe inside to the flavors of okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and yaki gyoza.
A Famous Okonomiyaki Spot in Seongsu
Hello! While enjoying a day around Seongsu, I suddenly found myself craving okonomiyaki.
That’s when I decided to visit Hacho, a place I had wanted to try for quite some time.
It’s located just 268 meters from Exit 5 of Seoul Forest Station, making it easy to reach on foot.
Location and Operating Information
The restaurant is located at 9-20, Wangsimni-ro 5-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
It’s open daily from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
There is a break time from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, with last orders at 2:30 PM and 9:00 PM.
Takeout, Wi-Fi, a waiting area, and delivery are all available.
First Impressions and Interior Atmosphere
The entrance felt smaller than I expected, which made me laugh a little.
Inside, there were already many customers, most of them couples.
The overall mood was quiet and cozy, making it feel like a great spot for a casual date.
Ordering System and Friendly Service
Our table was already set up when we arrived, which was a nice touch.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Ordering is simple: you just check off what you want on a paper menu and hand it to the staff.
They also offer a signature set menu, which made ordering easy.
Signature Set for Two: What We Ordered
Our food came out quickly after ordering.
We chose the signature set for two, which includes Hacho Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and yaki gyoza.
If you need more sauce while eating, extra mayonnaise and teriyaki sauce are available.
Hiroshima Okonomiyaki That Met High Expectations
I had especially high expectations for the okonomiyaki, and it didn’t disappoint.
The combination of cabbage, egg, bonito flakes, and teriyaki sauce worked perfectly.
The crunchiness of the cabbage stood out and made every bite enjoyable.
Yakisoba and Yaki Gyoza Impressions
The yakisoba was served next, and I ordered it spicy with togarashi.
For my taste, it wasn’t very spicy and felt slightly oily, so I personally preferred the okonomiyaki.
The yaki gyoza, however, was excellent, with a crispy outside and a moist, flavorful inside.
Final Thoughts on Hacho
I had been wanting to visit Hacho for a long time, and it lived up to my expectations.
If you enjoy okonomiyaki, this is definitely a place worth trying.
With its calm atmosphere and satisfying flavors, I’d happily recommend Hacho to anyone visiting Seongsu.
