Discovering Duck Delicacies at Dugyeong Duck Farm Near Paju's Simhak Mountain

A few days ago, I visited Paju with friends for a gathering, and we decided to check out a highly recommended restaurant near Simhak Mountain.
Dugyeong Duck Farm is known for using antibiotic-free ducks and fresh ingredients, offering a clean and straightforward taste that truly stands out.
Located near the Paju Lotte Outlet, the restaurant is easily accessible by car. The house-style building blends well with the tranquil neighborhood, creating a warm atmosphere.
The orange-themed sign made it easy to spot, and there’s a spacious lot right in front for convenient parking.
The restaurant operates daily from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM, with the last order at 8:30 PM.
Upon entering, the interior was designed for dining at tables, featuring rich wooden tones that exuded elegance. The cleanliness of the place gave a very good impression.
With a tradition of 35 years and a history of serving presidents, my curiosity about the food only grew.
We spent some time looking at the menu, eventually deciding on duck jumulleok (spicy stir-fried duck), roast duck, and duck sweet and sour.
The self-service bar inside allowed us to replenish side dishes and utensils as needed, which was a nice touch and showcased how well-maintained the restaurant was.
When our orders arrived, we started with the duck jumulleok. The fresh, antibiotic-free duck was mixed with a secret seasoning and served beautifully.
The side dishes were also impressive, providing a home-cooked feel. We enjoyed a refreshing vegetable salad, acorn jelly, and various homemade sides.
The owner, who previously ran a restaurant called Narut in Mapo, has brought a wealth of experience to this duck specialty restaurant, making the flavors even more memorable.
Each side dish was delicious and perfectly complemented our meal, keeping our taste buds engaged throughout.
One standout was the refreshing dongchimi (radish water kimchi) that I couldn't resist going back for more.
As we waited for the hot stone grill to warm up, we could tell it would be perfect for grilling the duck.
The duck jumulleok had a sweet and spicy sauce, making it a perfect rice companion. The assortment of vegetables served with it added a thoughtful touch.
Grilling the duck on the stone plate kept the heat consistent, preventing it from burning while cooking.
The well-cooked meat was delicious, and wrapping it in onion slices added a refreshing contrast.
Everyone at the table was impressed with the first dish we tried.
The second dish was the roast duck, which allowed us to savor the pure flavors of the duck. It was incredibly clean and tender, free from any gamey taste.
Finally, we tried the special duck sweet and sour, which is unique to Dugyeong Duck Farm. The crispy batter and the tangy-sweet sauce made it a delightful treat.
In summary, Dugyeong Duck Farm offers a variety of duck dishes, including roast duck, jumulleok, and sweet and sour, all in a clean environment with friendly service. It's no wonder it’s popular among locals and visitors alike.
