Hello!

Today, I will review Uchujin Ramen, a perfect winter ramen spot.

Location

As always, it's located near Euljiro.

You can find it on the second floor of the Sewoon Daelim Shopping Center.

[Business Hours]

Mon-Fri: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Break: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM)

Sat-Sun: 12:00 PM - 7:30 PM (No break time!)

Exterior

The exterior looks fantastic!

It has the vibe of a traditional ramen shop from Japan with 50 years of history.

Just looking at the sign makes it seem delicious!

It has even been featured on a popular food show!

That’s how tasty it is!

I arrived at around 11:29 AM and had to wait for about 5 minutes.

It’s a busy place, and perhaps due to the cold weather, everyone seemed to crave warm noodle dishes.

To wait, you can write your name and the number of people on the waiting list inside the entrance.

Menu

After a short wait, I entered and placed my order!

Ramen is the main dish, but there are also rice options!

I was craving something spicy, so I chose the Spicy Tan-Tan Ramen.

You can choose between medium and thin noodles; I opted for the thin ones!

I thought I was ordering ramen, but it turned out to be Tan-Tan noodles!

The side dishes are also great!

If you come with a group, it’s perfect to share a few dishes.

I really wanted to try the fried oysters!

They also have draft beer and soft drinks available!

It would be nice to have a drink in the evening.

Next to the kiosk, there’s a brief description of the menu for first-time visitors.

There are also candies available for a sweet treat!

Interior

At the entrance, you can see the owner’s impressive awards displayed.

Of course, it’s delicious!

There’s a large Uchujin Ramen sign hanging from the ceiling!

The seating includes one table for four and a larger table for 12-14 people.

It’s a great spot for solo dining!

They even provide hair ties at the larger table for your convenience!

You can add seaweed vinegar to the Tan-Tan noodles according to your taste.

I didn’t add any.

The highlights here are the side dishes: yuzu pickles and takana (mustard greens).

They’re great for cleansing your palate between bites of ramen.

There’s also a space for hanging your coat behind the seats.

The restaurant isn’t very large, but it’s well-utilized, so it doesn’t feel cramped.

The Japanese elements around the shop add to its charm!

I’m feeling nostalgic for Japan!

Spicy Tan-Tan Ramen

12,000 KRW

Finally, the star of the show has arrived!

The spicy flavor is new, and since there were no reviews, I was hesitant to try it.

However, the subtle aroma of spice was very tasty!

Ramen + Chashu + Yuzu Pickles is my favorite combination.

I was so full and sleepy that I had to grab a coffee afterward.

My score is...

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

(Honestly, it’s almost a perfect score, so what does it even mean?)

A delicious ramen spot!

I highly recommend it for a hearty meal in this weather!
