During a recent visit to Eohwado, a popular restaurant located in the Dasan Hyundai Outlet in Namyangju, I enjoyed a healthy and hearty meal with my family.

The restaurant certainly lived up to its reputation, offering a generous self-service bar and fresh fish grilled on high-temperature ovens upon order.

The elegant exterior and clean signage made the restaurant easily noticeable from a distance. Its corner location offered great accessibility, and it gave a neat impression fitting for a fish grill specialty.

Upon entering, the bright and warm atmosphere welcomed us, thanks to large windows allowing ample natural light. The spacious table arrangements and availability of high chairs made it an excellent choice for family dining.

Ordering was straightforward through a touch-screen pad installed at each table. I noticed a thoughtful selection of children's menu items, reflecting the restaurant's consideration for family visitors.

One of the highlights here is the self-service bar featuring fresh seasonal vegetables and side dishes. Customers can enjoy this lavish spread when ordering grilled fish, enhancing both value and satisfaction.

As soon as we placed our order, the side dishes and a plate for the self-service bar were promptly served. The first item I reached for was the glistening japchae (stir-fried glass noodles). There was even sweet and spicy tteokbokki (rice cakes) available, making for a delightful appetizer.

Fresh lettuce, perilla leaves, crispy salads, and beautifully arranged fruits were all set out. Wrapping the grilled fish in fresh greens made for a healthy and fulfilling meal.

After our meal, we enjoyed warm sweet potatoes, perfect for dessert or as a nutritious snack for kids.

About ten minutes after ordering, our main dishes arrived, freshly grilled at over 500 degrees Celsius. The presentation was impeccable, earning approval from both parents and children.

The seaweed soup served in a brass bowl was rich and flavorful, filled with tender seaweed. We also enjoyed crispy fried dumplings, which paired perfectly with soy sauce while waiting for the fish.

The grilled mackerel was visually stunning, with a crispy skin and juicy flesh, a stark contrast to pre-cooked fish.

We savored the mackerel with wasabi soy sauce, enhancing its nutty flavor. Wrapping the fish and rice in fresh lettuce created a delightful and healthy bite.

The grilled hairtail was another standout, soft and neatly presented. Accompanying it was spicy and sweet grilled baby octopus, perfect as a side dish.

After finishing our meal, we appreciated the convenience of free parking by simply registering our vehicle number at the checkout. This makes it easy for families visiting by car to dine comfortably.

Eohwado in Namyangju truly offers a complete dining experience, from the freshly grilled fish to the abundant self-service bar. With thoughtful children’s menu options and hassle-free parking, it’s an ideal spot for family outings.
