Interior Atmosphere
Upon entering the spacious restaurant,
I felt that it has become even larger than before.
The environment is clean and comfortable,
making it a great spot for group gatherings or company dinners.
Menu Selection
Now, let’s decide on the menu.
Whenever I come here, I always struggle between
choosing the chewy jokbal or the tender bossam.
After discussing with my husband, we decided to go for the jokbal today!
Basic Side Dishes Provided!
Once we placed our order, the basic side dishes were quickly served.
They provide jeon (Korean pancake) and doenjang-guk (soybean paste soup) as part of the service!
Both dishes exceeded our expectations and were perfect to enjoy while waiting for the jokbal.
Chewy Jokbal
The jokbal we ordered arrived,
and it looked quite generous!
The shiny meat was already a winner before tasting!
Along with the jokbal, we were served some bossam kimchi,
which is made in-house.
The spicy and crunchy kimchi paired excellently with the chewy jokbal!
Next, we had fresh wrapping vegetables:
perilla leaves, lettuce, chicory, and napa cabbage.
With four types of vegetables provided,
you can enjoy a variety of combinations.
Now, it’s time to taste the jokbal!
I picked up a shiny piece of meat and tasted it without any veggies.
The skin was incredibly chewy,
and the balance between the skin and the tender meat was perfect!
There was no unpleasant smell, which is a huge plus!
The jokbal itself was flavorful enough to enjoy on its own.
My child even enjoyed the meat with rice, saying it felt like jelly!
Finally, I took a lettuce leaf, added some bossam kimchi,
a piece of meat, and topped it with shrimp sauce, garlic, chili, and ssamjang.
The combination was delightful!
As we finished the jokbal, I ordered some cold yeolmu (young radish) noodles.
The refreshing broth was perfect for the warm weather,
and it complemented the jokbal wonderfully.
In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed the jokbal!
If you are looking for a great jokbal restaurant near Namchuncheon Station,
Jangteo Wang Jokbal is highly recommended!
The spacious and pleasant interior is great for group gatherings!
