Celebrating Our 8th Anniversary at Goseong Delfino BBQ Garden Factory

It's our 8th wedding anniversary.
With the kids, it's hard to celebrate special occasions grandly.
Still, I thought, "Let's eat something our family enjoys today,"
so we had dinner at Goseong Delfino BBQ Garden Factory, located inside Sonobel Delfino in Gangwon-do.
The location was convenient for moving around with the kids,
and the atmosphere was surprisingly nice,
making it a perfect day for a celebration.
Today, I’ll share an honest review based on my own experience!
Finding a place to eat dinner while traveling can be quite a task.
With kids, you have to consider their condition, travel distance, and parking.
But Goseong Delfino BBQ Garden Factory is inside Sonobel Delfino,
so there’s no need to worry about those things.
Just take the elevator down, eat, and go back up.
This convenience is a huge advantage for traveling with kids.
For parents like me traveling with kids,
the location of Goseong Delfino BBQ Garden Factory is already a big plus!
Upon entering, I immediately felt, "Wow, the atmosphere is great here."
The lighting is soft and not too bright,
giving it a slight restaurant vibe despite being a meat place.
The spacing between tables was just right, so it wasn't cramped with the kids,
and the overall clean and organized ambiance made me glad I chose it for our anniversary dinner.
It’s not easy to find such an atmosphere while traveling,
which is why Goseong Delfino BBQ Garden Factory stood out in my memory.
There’s also an open kitchen, which was exciting for the kids!
The kitchen is visible from above,
allowing us to catch a glimpse of the cooking process.
This was a whole new world for the kids,
and they were fascinated saying, "Wow, this is amazing!"
It made the waiting time feel less boring,
and such small points are surprisingly important for family dining.
For families with kids, Goseong Delfino BBQ Garden Factory is a great fit.
We ordered the Tomahawk Set B (for 3 people) for 159,000 won!
Since it was a special occasion, we decided to go all out.
The set included:
- Tomahawk 450g
- L-Bone Steak 350g
- 1 Sevelac Sausage
- Caesar Salad
- Corn
- Butter Grilled Potatoes
- Coleslaw
- Pulled Pork
- 4 Moibuns
We also ordered:
- Paulaner Beer
- Orange Juice
When the meal was served, I expected a great visual, but I thought, "Is this all?"
Only the meat looked celebratory.
It was a bit disappointing, but places like Goseong Delfino BBQ Garden Factory are just right for special occasions.
The Tomahawk was visually impressive.
Its thick cut with the bone made it feel special for an anniversary meal.
It was perfectly grilled on the outside and juicy on the inside.
The smoky flavor was subtle, and the meat's taste intensified as I chewed.
Especially for families with kids,
if the meat is tough, they often say, "I’m not eating this…"
But to my surprise, my son said, "Mom, this is really delicious!"
His approval meant a lot!
The L-Bone Steak had a lighter taste compared to the Tomahawk.
It wasn't too fatty, making it suitable for adults,
and the texture was pleasantly soft.
While the Tomahawk had a “rich meat flavor,”
the L-Bone Steak had a “clean meat flavor.”
The combination was great, and I was satisfied with the set.
However, to be honest, the portion was a bit small.
For a family of four with two kids, it felt like, "Oh? Is it already over?"
Even though the set is for 3 people,
if your family loves meat, it might feel insufficient.
We enjoyed it, but by the end, we felt a bit empty.
Also, rice is not included!
The most important tip is that rice is not served as a standard.
You need to order it separately,
and they do have pre-packaged rice.
Unfortunately, we didn’t know this
and ended up only having meat and bread.
For families with kids, having rice is essential,
and I regretted missing out on that.
If you visit, make sure to check for rice when ordering!
Overall, for our 8th anniversary dinner,
choosing Goseong Delfino BBQ Garden Factory was a satisfying experience.
✔ Great atmosphere
✔ Fun to watch the open kitchen
✔ Good taste of Tomahawk and L-Bone Steak
✔ Even the kids loved it
However,
➖ The portion was smaller than expected
➖ Rice must be ordered separately!
Still, spending a memorable anniversary dinner with my kids was wonderful.
It was a special evening, and I believe these moments are worth celebrating.
