Bada Nara: Delicious Seasonal Yellowtail Sashimi at Garak Mall Fish Market

Garak Mall, Garak Market: The best spot for yellowtail (Buri) sashimi!
A review of Bada Nara's takeout for a year-end gathering.
As the year-end approaches and friends gather, I naturally started looking for a great seasonal yellowtail restaurant and remembered Bada Nara.
꿀팁! (Kkul Tip!): If you mention you saw their blog, you'll get a service!
Garak Market is easily accessible by subway or car. Garak Market Station Exit 2 leads directly to Garak Mall.
If you're driving, the parking lot is connected to the escalator, making it very convenient. Garak Mall is divided into sections, so it's easy to find even if it's your first time.
The fish market sales area is long, so you can quickly reach it by walking inside.
If you mention it to the owner, you can get a 3-hour free parking pass, which is great for those driving.
The store has a great atmosphere. The floors are sparkling, and the tanks are clean and well-organized, making for a good first impression.
I think it's thanks to the staff who regularly and diligently clean.
There are many sashimi restaurants in Garak Market. My friends and I were contemplating where to go.
Then, I remembered Bada Nara, where I had such delicious yellowtail sashimi last year.
This is my second visit. The owner recognized me and greeted me warmly. It's always a familiar place.
Bada Nara Location: C27, 1st Floor, Sales Building, Garak Mall, 932 Yangjae-daero, Songpa-gu, Seoul
Hours: Daily 09:00~21:00
The menu is well-organized, so you can easily see the dishes and prices at a glance. It was easy to understand, so my friends could quickly choose what they wanted.
The freshness and prices were so reasonable that we all agreed to eat at the restaurant next time instead of taking out.
They have a wide variety of sashimi. It was fun to look around. While I was deciding, I overheard the customer next to me asking about prices. The owner took out a scale.
The process of carefully weighing the fish, removing every drop of water, was so transparent and honest that I couldn't help but trust the store.
Yellowtail is in season these days. After a long discussion, my friends and I decided to get yellowtail sashimi to go.
Of course, king crab was also in season, but we naturally gravitated towards the yellowtail sashimi.
Also, this store accepts the civil revitalization coupon, so I had good memories of being able to enjoy it more affordably.
As soon as we opened the takeout, my friends and I were amazed. We were surprised by the generous side dishes and composition.
They included all the vegetables and sauces that go well with the sashimi, so everything was ready to eat as soon as we set the table.
We ordered a small size. At first, I was worried that it wouldn't be enough. But there was so much that my friends and I were relieved.
Finally, I tasted my first yellowtail of the year. The flavor filled my mouth, and my friend and I were amazed at the same time.
The yellowtail from Bada Nara was the right thickness and had a great aroma, so I was happy to enjoy the rich flavor of the sashimi.
We ordered takeout, but the freshness was perfectly preserved, which surprised my friends and me.
The flavor filled my mouth and lingered subtly, so I was definitely satisfied without needing a long explanation.
As I continued to eat the thick yellowtail, I couldn't help but want to drink. Eventually, my friends and I took out soju glasses and had a drink.
One of my friends joked that we should set the date for the next gathering, saying that this taste was enough. It seemed like he was serious.
The more I ate the yellowtail, the more I realized why it's important to eat it in season. The flavor was completely different because it was the best time to eat it.
The subtle savory flavor was so comforting that it left a long-lasting impression.
The ssamjang (thick spicy paste) from Bada Nara was a perfect match. The combination didn't overpower the flavor, which was even better.
Because it blended in without being overpowering, the original flavor was definitely enhanced, and I was satisfied until the last bite.
Even after I came home, the taste of the yellowtail lingered, making this year-end dinner particularly memorable.
Thanks to that day, this winter felt more special, and the friends I met that day kept talking about it.
Bada Nara is the first place that comes to mind whenever I worry about year-end gatherings, so my friends were familiar with it.
There was plenty of space to wait, so it wasn't crowded even when many people came. The seating at the chojangjip (seasoning restaurant) was comfortable, creating a natural atmosphere.
I heard for the first time that day that the owner consistently donates to the Community Chest of Korea. At that moment, I gained trust.
It's a space where you can feel the consideration, so the food is made with care, and I felt the attention to detail throughout the meal.
The value for money is excellent. Every time I felt it was delicious, I kept saying, "Is this the right price?"
Towards the end of the dinner, we naturally agreed to have the next gathering here and already made a promise.
