When visiting Seongsan Ilchulbong, there's a spot I always return to: the Seongsan Godeungeo Ssambap restaurant.

The combination of mackerel ssambap and braised hairtail is simply amazing.

I was able to enjoy the fresh and rich flavor of Jeju mackerel ssambap.

With a variety of side dishes, it remains the top local eatery in eastern Jeju.

1. Convenient Location Near Seongsan Ilchulbong

Situated close to Seongsan Ilchulbong, the accessibility is outstanding.

This makes it perfect for a meal before or after sightseeing.

The restaurant features a spacious parking area, eliminating worries about parking.

Upon entering, the wide and clean hall is very pleasant, with ample space between tables.

2. Diverse Local Jeju Menu

The menu at this local eatery in eastern Jeju is surprisingly diverse.

With many options, it includes a variety of local dishes that come to mind when thinking of Jeju.

As soon as you order, the side dishes arrive, and the soy sauce marinated crab was my favorite.

The plump and juicy soy sauce crab awakened my appetite.

One by one, the main dishes started to arrive, all made with fresh ingredients that enhanced the flavors.

3. Refreshing Taste of Mackerel Ssambap

What impressed me the most was the flavor of the mackerel ssambap.

The seasoning was spicy yet refreshing.

Enjoying it with kimchi added a delightful crunch, enhancing the eating experience.

The seasoning was clean and not heavy, making it irresistible.

Eating it as ssambap allowed me to enjoy the combination, which exceeded my expectations.

Additionally, the braised hairtail was on another level.

It was tender and soft, a perfect dish.

The rich seasoning made it delicious on its own, and it ended with a clean taste that kept me wanting more.

4. Abalone Hot Pot with Various Seafood

The abalone hot pot was a sight to behold.

It was filled with a generous amount of fresh seafood, including three abalones.

Thick yet tender, the abalone was delightful.

Crabs and shrimp added to the experience, with a spicy broth that enhanced the enjoyment.

The sea urchin seaweed soup was another specialty, with a refreshing ocean flavor.

5. Flavorful Grilled Mackerel and Red Snapper

The grilled mackerel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Its rich and succulent meat was exceptional.

Even the grilled red snapper was impressive, with a chewy texture that surprised me.

The mild flavor made me want to keep eating, with a subtle nutty taste that emerged with each bite.

The combination of rice and fish was delightful, filling my mouth with a delicious taste.

This eatery in eastern Jeju has great accessibility, and with its excellent taste and quality, I can't wait to visit again.
