During our trip to Sokcho, we discovered a truly amazing restaurant at Daepo Port: Sinhae Bul-i Sashimi Restaurant.
The highlight of any Sokcho trip is undoubtedly the fresh seafood, and this time, we found a place that truly met our expectations.
Sinhae Bul-i Sashimi Restaurant impressed us with its genuine hospitality. From the owner to the staff, everyone was sincerely kind, making us feel great even before we started eating.
To sum it up in one phrase: "Why is the food so delicious...?" From now on, whenever we think of sashimi or crab in Sokcho, we will definitely choose Sinhae Bul-i Sashimi Restaurant.
Location and Parking Information:
Sinhae Bul-i Sashimi Restaurant is just a 5-minute walk from the entrance of Daepo Port. (Even for someone like me who walks slowly, it's quite close!)

We stayed at Ramada Hotel and walked to the restaurant, making it a perfect distance for a leisurely stroll.
Parking is available for about three cars right in front of the restaurant, which is helpful for those driving.
Exterior & Interior:
Upon arrival, we were struck by the bright and clean sign of the restaurant. The exterior was well-maintained, giving a great first impression. Seeing the large crabs and fish in the tanks excited my kids.
The freshness of the fish was evident, and I could tell it was a family-friendly place. The interior was clean and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for family dining or a date.

The biggest advantage of this place is its value for money. We ordered the King Crab + Sashimi Set, which included:

Side Dishes & Water Sashimi:
First, the side dishes and water sashimi were served. The side dishes were delicious, and they even offered us scallops for the kids as a complimentary treat!
And then came the water sashimi! It was absolutely fantastic, almost at the level of a main dish, with generous portions of sashimi.
Fresh Sashimi:
The fresh sashimi that followed was surprising. The portion was generous, and the freshness was outstanding. The texture was perfectly balanced—neither too thin nor too thick—making it enjoyable to chew.
King Crab:
Finally, the much-anticipated King Crab arrived! The meat was succulent, moist, and sweet, filling my mouth with flavor.
Spicy Soup:
The spicy soup was the surprising finale. Even though we were full, we couldn't resist trying it. It was clean and rich in flavor, with no fishy taste, making it a perfect conclusion to our meal.
